  1. QUOTE (shail @ Jun 22 2012, 09:18 PM) Waiste of money vinyl. Its a freakin digital product. Warmer? What? Same as a cd. Christ. wrong!
  2. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 22 2012, 02:22 PM) QUOTE (Mara @ Jun 22 2012, 03:15 PM) The GeminiRising bisexual-three-way-with-a-Rush-member thread leaps immediately to mind. What if Geddy saw THAT?!?!?! And I am sure there are threads out there even more outrageous than that particular one. I must have missed that one... me neither...
  3. QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Jun 22 2012, 12:39 PM) QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Jun 22 2012, 10:45 AM) could you imagine if he actually read all our B.S? it would be embarrassing. Especially if they read the gushing posts. I think they are used to being blasted by the press, but undue praise could possibly be worse. I mean look at American children who lead the world in self esteem but not any educational category around the world. One does not learn from being coddled. Put an obstacle in one's way then they have no choice but to overcome it.
  4. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 22 2012, 03:15 AM) Get all the 70s albums plus Rock in a Hard Place and Pump, forget the rest, and don't get be tempted to get the new album when it comes out to go with them, let Hatchet Pete have all gthe copies so he can writhe in a vat of melted Aerosmith CDs... he doesn't need Pump....
  5. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jun 21 2012, 02:37 PM) BU2B, Clockwork Angels, The Anarchist This.
  6. The Beach Boys - Cannibal Corpse
  7. This one and Wish You Well are tied for me as being my least favorites......these don't seem like the types of songs that will grow either...
  8. QUOTE (Lerxster @ Jun 21 2012, 06:12 PM) QUOTE (WCFIELDS @ Jun 21 2012, 07:06 PM)QUOTE (Lerxster @ Jun 21 2012, 05:59 PM) It's hard to believe that Rush and company were worried about the end result for this song. Not really.... Dude, this song could be a single easy. Don't fight it man. Don't fight it Sure, it could be a single...... Whether a Rush song is (or can be) a single, doesn't change my opinion of it...
  9. QUOTE (MMCXII @ Jun 21 2012, 06:21 PM) There's a classic vinyl program on the radio right now Playing the 'toys in the attic' album. This stuff rocks! Haven't really listened to too much older aerosmith. Anyone know of some other albums to check out?? Everything up to (and not including) Permanent Vacation....
  10. Honestly, I could care less about the story. It's ALL about the music.....
  11. QUOTE (Lerxster @ Jun 21 2012, 05:59 PM) It's hard to believe that Rush and company were worried about the end result for this song. Not really....
  12. QUOTE (hammerofthor @ Jun 21 2012, 11:09 AM) I'll tell you what, this album has made Presto and RTB sound alot better to me.
  13. QUOTE (They Bow Defeated @ Jun 20 2012, 07:55 PM) QUOTE (trenken @ Jun 20 2012, 08:47 PM) You spend 5 years waiting for an album and you'd hope they would find a way to break away from just these standard issue rock songs they've been doing since T4E. They seem to have no idea what actually made them great which is really interesting chord progressions, vocal melodies that are very pleasing, original arrangements. Now they just write stuff thats not very different than what many rock bands are doing right now. So yeah, very underwhelmed. I cant just pretend this is some killer album like Hemispheres or Moving Pictures just because Rush wrote it. This is not the same Rush. Okay, there's #1. Next up, WCFIELDS, ReflectedLight, GeminiRising... Who am I missing here? I think the album is ok....I don't hate it by any means.
  14. You're not alone.....I think the album is ok (way better than S&A)...but it's not an album that will have lots of replay value with me. I think part of it has to do with the fact I'm a little burnt out on the 3 singles....
  15. yes, could've been trimmed down by 3 or 4 songs....
  16. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jun 11 2012, 02:53 PM) Hmmmm... your son pitching in his baseball game versus meeting a couple of aging, artistically-spent musicians? Seems like a no-brainer, but well-done nonetheless!
  17. QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Jun 18 2012, 02:54 PM) Yeah I want whatever drugs people are on who think this is better than Hemispheres, or even Signals. Seriously? no kidding....
  18. Definitely better than : Snakes and Arrows Counterparts Test For Echo Roll the Bones Feedback Presto ....about it.
  19. QUOTE (P-Tor @ Jun 17 2012, 08:20 PM) In all the promo materials and reviews I have seen for Clockwork Angels, it is always described as "Rush's 20th studio album". But is it really? It's only 19 by my count (unless you count Feedback - which I don't). What do you guys think? Is this their 20th studio album? Do you count Feedback? I don't count Feedback either....
  20. I would've went to see my son, without question.....
