  1. Probably my favorite Eddie Murphy movie ever was Harlem Nights, which slightly edges out trading places simply because of all of the comedic talent that was piled up in that movie.
  2. But 48 Hrs buries any of the Beverly Hills Cop movies. BHC II>Another 48 Hrs.. The 3rd one was awful, though. I saw it on pay per view in junior high which was free for some strange reason by the cable company and it sucked. Taggart didn’t return and . I never saw Beverly hills cop 3. I heard enough about it to know not to watch it. But I'm talking about the first 48 hours. That was easily Eddie Murphy's best comedy action genre movie.
  3. It's been years since I've seen an episode of that show...... So NY, so funny. There is a bit of an issue with lost episodes though. The first season was all in tact. But now the episode numbers in season two are jumping around. It looks like the rest of the seasons have the same problem. I'm guessing since it's an older show that some of the tapes got lost or damaged over the years. I don't see why there would be any legal issues as to why that many episodes aren't there. I am still enjoying the watch though and that's what matters most. I have the whole series on DVD so it's not that the episodes aren't intact.
  4. Game of Thrones. Got HBO Max for free with my internet subscription. Not sure I get the hype, but it's not terrible.
  5. I like how tight this is. That’s what she said. :hail: This was the only tough decision.
  6. Do yourself a favor and watch The Sting. I can't believe you haven't seen it.
  7. Godfather by a nose but man was that a great decade for movies.
  8. STP opening for Megadeth about 2 weeks before I heard Sex Type Thing on the radio for the first time. I also saw Alice in Chains open for VanHalen on the f**k tour. Great show. No love for AIC though and yeah, place was half empty while they played. Candlebox opening for Rush during the Counterparts tour. Admittedly I had already seen Candlebox a couple times in concert and was already a fan. Here is one in reverse. My brother and I are huge Mastadon fans and we went to see them when they were opening for a band named Coheed and Cambria who I had heard of but could not say I had every heard a song from them. Neither one of us knew them but wow were they good. I am a big Coheed fan now. Kyng opened for Chevelle and I really loved their power trio sound. That was a really good show Gohira opening for Slipknot. Again I was already a fan but man are those guys awesome live. I have to catch them as a headliner some time. Our Lady Piece opened for VanHalen some time in the 90's and i remember that the were really good. I feel like with all the concerts I have seen in my lifetime there should be more but that's off the top of my head.
  9. Nope, nothing wrong with that. Floor is the best overall singer the has ever had and my favorite. She is an incredible live performer and does sing a number of those older tunes better than the originals. I'm guessing you've seen her performance of Ghost Love Score? The way she does that song has pretty much earned her eternal love from the fans. My only knock on Floor is her studio work with Nightwish. Her voice comes off too soft and subtle a lot of the time and it feels like she's holding back vocally for some reason. She shines best live, so maybe she prefers to save it for when she's on stage. I have watched\listened to that Wacken concert 4 or 5 times now. That was an amazing set and an amazing performance all the way around.
  10. Floor Jansen is one of my top five vocalists of all time. Her work with Nightwish is incredible, but I rate her studio work with After Forever much higher. I will check them out. I love her range and vocal style.
  11. What is everyone's general impression of Floor Jansen? I think my favorite songs are the live version of old songs sung by her. Her voice is so versatile. For instance, a standout song for me is She is my Sin and I watched a live video from 2003 with Tarja singing. Now you can tell that she has a great operatic voice but that version is not even close to as good as the 2013 Wacken festival version sung by Floor. Does thinking that make me a newb? Tarja Floor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EKgcVSX4ss
  12. This is a technique I use whenever I discover a band that is new to me but has a deep catalog. I find long time fans always seem to hate the new stuff because they are comparing it to the old stuff. So I start with the new and work back. If the band is really good and I make it through the whole catalog, I find I appreciate the new stuff more than long time fans who experienced each album in the opposite direction.
  13. I was really just poking fun at DT who drive me nuts with all their wankery. I was listening to live stuff on you tube which was a mix of era's all sang by Floor Jansen. Today I am starting with Human Nature and working my way back one album at a time. Not the album I would start with considering none of the live material you heard comes from that. Try Century Child, their best album with original vocalist Tarja Turunen. Then listen to Dark Passion Play. Their best one with Annette Olzon on vocals. Finally, listen to Endless Forms Most Beautiful which is the first album with Floor Jansen. All are much better introductions to the band's studio work than the new album is. Too late. Already finished the Human Nature. I liked it alot. I guess the band is ruined for me now?

  15. I just discovered this band and all I have to say is that they remind me of what Dream Theater would be if they could write decent melodies and had good vocals. I really like this what I am hearing.
  16. But 48 Hrs buries any of the Beverly Hills Cop movies.
  17. It also showed how Robin Williams was so much more than a comic\comedic actor.
  18. He commanded that stadium. One of, if not my favorite, live concert videos.
  19. I will probably permanently work from home.
  20. I just finished watching "Waco" on Netflix because apparently I needed another reason to despise my government.
  21. I heard someone bash it as Breaking Bad with money laundering instead of drug dealing, but I think the performances are great. I've got one more episode in the new season left. All 3 have been phenomenal. There's no doubt it was influenced by Breaking Bad. It tells a similar story in a different way and setting. The performances are great. It's nice to see Jason Bateman break out of his comedy roles and do something that is dead serious. Laura Linney and Julia Garner are great as well. Those two completely steal the show for me in the new season. I will have to give this another shot. I watched season one and thought it was okay. I started season 2 and just could not get into it. I might have taken too long of a break in between season 1 and season 2 as some shit just didn't make sense. Maybe I need to binge it from the start. It's a great show! But! You might want to wait until you go outside again and see friends and be reminded of the good things in life. This show only has three colors, and they're black, dark blue, and gray. Plus, I'm pretty sure there's no smiling, just varying degrees of grimaces. Now if that's right up your alley, then, yes, take it from the top! That is right up my alley.
