  1. Sold! Thanks for the support TRF. I love coming here and participating in discussions, but it means a lot to have the Rush community to lean on when in need. Mods-you can close this if you would like.
  2. The shirt has a lot of wrinkles because I haven't washed it or anything since the show. Hate to get rid of it, but I have to. http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb311/krlowe/DSC04467.jpghttp://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb311/krlowe/DSC04469.jpghttp://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb311/krlowe/DSC04468.jpg
  3. Good evening TRF! I have one of the shirts Alex threw out during CA tour. I've fallen on very hard times: I'm a teacher in a single income family home, and need to get rid of it. I'll take reasonable offers, whatever they may be. Better times are coming for sure, but right now isn't one of them. Thanks-TRF! I'll post some pics soon. Mods-If this is in the wrong forum please move it.
  4. 1st time-spent $400 a ticket. 2nd time-waited 12 hours at GA event. 3rd time-checked TM the week of the show about every 15 minutes, and two front rows popped up, normal price. I have also got 4th row tickets the day of the show. I will never pay a scalper again! I always do the day/week of show thing now. Just have to stay on top of it like crazy!
  5. I thought the show was GREAT! I loved the CA cuts, especially Headlong Flight (which the crowd LOVED). Analog Kid, Territories, and Grand Designs were really awesome as well. The sound from my seat in front of Alex was bad, but when your towards the front it's what you get. We got: a LOT of Alex and little of Geddy in our "mix" in front of the floor monitors facing the audience. Next time I might sit further back for sound and lights. Alex threw me a shirt, that was cool too! Someone during the second video yelled "Play Music!!!" Ugh. Went to Peppinos w/my friend earlier in the afternoon, and that was yummy!
  6. Then don't attend: better seats for us. End of discussion.
  7. That is frustrating to hear that. Maybe Rush likes it at the slower tempo. Some people don't know how to let music breathe. :)
  8. This won't happen: Ged and Neil need a break, and I along with a lot of other fans aren't going to have the money to go that much. We know how Alex can get excited and talks and talks, or says things that are a thought, but not a shared common goal or a final decision.
  9. I've always been blessed to have a crazy Detroit/Michigan audience....they are always really energetic. I'm hoping that keeps true to Grand Rapids this Sunday. It would be terrible to go to a show where people just pissed and moaned the whole time. Ugh. I'll enjoy it no matter how they feel though, ya know? Sorry to hear that the crowd seemed mush...
  10. The numbers are OK: they are on Alex's side two from the end. It's cool either way. I feel pretty lucky today, although I am on vacation and was refreshing TM like every 5 min for the last 3 days.
  11. Update: they are gone. Delete this thread if needed mods. Thanks.... I'm beyond excited.

  13. There are two FRONT ROW seats on TM right now CR row A Alexs Side!
  14. It would be Awesome! Unfortunately, I think that ship has sailed. If it didn't happen at their 30th Anniversary with a string section to cover Losing It, I don't think it will ever happen. :boohoo: That's true. Maybe they will want to keep the strings for the next tour though. I wouldn't be opposed.
  15. Signals-Countdown, and Losing It would be....:o
  16. Considering: Ged's voice, maybe keeping the strings. Intro Video: Something centering around their age. (Funny of course) Set 1: R41 Medley (Working Man, Beneath, Behind, and Between, Fly By Night, Cygnus X-1, Hemispheres Prelude) The Spirit of Radio Manhattan Project Entre Nous Emotion Detector Headlong Flight Clockwork Angels Natural Science Different Strings Freewill Set 2: Video: Continued "pun" video of their age... 2112 (entire) Earthshine Mal Nar YYZ Drum Solo Red Barchetta Circumstances Jacobs Ladder Subdivisions Driven Limelight Tom Sawyer Encore: La Villa Closer to the Heart Outro Video: ??
  17. Front row twice: once at Pine Knob (Detroit, Snakes and Arrows. Got to meet em' too. ), and the other at Sarnia Bayfest (Sarnia, TMT). I had 4th row for Snakes and Arrows at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit (Same day tix from TM). This time around I'm looking for front row tickets in the upper bowl, or lower bowl so I can sit with my father, who can't stand for 3 hours. So cool to hear all the awesome stories.
  18. I had bought front row seats for a show in Detroit once: got ripped off and never got them. So the day of the show I kept checking every 5 minutes for hours....and around 4:00pm I pulled dozens of 4th-6th row tickets on the floor (Joe Louis Arena). It works a lot of the time, but have to have lots of time available.
  19. I'm looking at the Grand Rapids, MI show at Van Andel Arena. I'm watching TM, Ebay, and Stub Hub like crazy for upper tier row A's. I KNOW some of these brokers will be "stuck" with the tickets until the day before or of the show.
  20. I'm taking my 69 year old Father to a Rush Concert. He's in good health, but prefers to sit down. What in your opinion is the best place to sit, while retaining decent sightlines. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  21. I got a few picks from Tony at the Sarnia show on the TMT. I was sooo poor so I sold them to fund the next show in Detroit that spring.
  22. I think the key is to remember is that the set lacks some of the standards they play on tour. Most of us could survive if we didn't hear them again for a while (Red Barchetta, Free Will, Limelight, Closer to the Heart, Distant Early Warning) but a minority of people might be a little dissapointed. I doubt it's to the extent of what's claimed, but if Rush were to Add FW or Limelight to the 1st set where The Body Electric is I bet no one would be saying anything. I can see the 1st set getting stagnant for some people. Not me, I LOVE PW and the setlist. I wish I wouldn't have looked...I always do that!
  23. I believe in a few aspects that record is a respectable representation of Alex over the years. Some of the more melodic solos (The Garden, etc...) are reminicent of his mid-late 80's solos. However when he shreds it sounds like on Headlong Flight we're back into songs like Working Man, La Villa. My only "complaint" is that it seems some of the songs gain some great momentum, but then lose steam. Perhaps a good example is Clockwork Angels, the verse before the last chorus that moves to 6/8 (think of a jig) that moves into major. Just kind of...odd. Still though, I think his work on the album is good.
  24. For me, about half the album has cooled. Clockwork Angels, The Anarchist, Carnies, Headlong Flight, and the Garden are still kicking pretty good.
