  1. That would be hysterical, I would love that too.
  2. Many people in bands are quite shy...on the stage you are a million miles away...so concentrated on your art.
  3. I would choose Alex too, I met him once and he made feel like the rock star and Geddy kinda blew me off, this was at a meet and greet on The Vapor Trails tour. Although, he was much more personable on his book signing tour. Neil, I would love to talk too, but only if I met him in the diner and engaged him a topic such as a current event or literature. He gets upset when people recognize him.
  4. I don't what happened to my Hold Your Fire t-shirt from my first concert, I have all of my other shirts. I still have my HYF ticket stub. Those are some of the most treasured hours of my life at those shows. All of my experiences unique and personal.
  5. I remember my first Rush concert, I was 14 when they played HYF at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena. I told my mom the next day that I wanted to learn how to play guitar. I have been playing ever since and released our first EP with my husband and our band SpunJacked in May. I am grateful that I found musicianship through Rush.
  6. The picture with Alex and Geddy from the Vapor Trails tour. I will never forget how excited Alex got when I gave him and Geddy simple compliments. He made me feel like a rock star!
  7. the headbanging bunny became deflated...too much headbanging!
  8. Thanks for the video. That is a real gem, being pre Neil Peart. I liked how John Rutsey did all of the talking. When I first saw Rush on Hold Your Fire, Geddy didn't say much then either. It wasn't until they started playing the outdoor gigs on Roll the Bones, that he became more talkative.
  9. Thanks. That was a great article. I am glad that enjoys meeting us as much as we enjoy meeting him.
  10. Thank you, CTM! I wish that I could live it all again! Me too!
  11. I have never met a Rush fan that I didn't like. I met many people 16 years ago in Toronto, during Rushcon, who I still talk to today. I got to meet Geddy in Philadelphia too, he was so nice. I am thrilled that the band that I admire most has inspired me to create, we brought the dragon that I created with my husband that is modeled after the r30 dragon t-shirt, he said , "Oh my gosh, is that thing alive?" It was cool that he saw that our creation is just as much alive as my husband and I see our dragon. We also gave Geddy a cd from our band, another thing that I would have never accomplished without Rush. I saw Rush when was I 14, and told my Mom that I wanted to play the guitar, within a week I had a guitar and lessons. I have a lot to thank them for, the underlying theme of creation, is what they leave behind for me. I am forever grateful. The friendships are even better.
  12. I was there too. Geddy was so nice. He talked to my husband and I for a few seconds and he was very personable.
  13. From what the 1 person I know who went one said, your back and forth will consist of him asking your name and you telling him. He'll sign, say thank you and you'll be ushered out. 10 seconds with him, tops. Kinda what I figured. Ah well. I'd kick myself for not going, even if it's just 10 seconds. I bought a ticket for Chicago as soon as they went live. Doing the same in Philly. I hope you get a good photo! I'm in a Rush FB group where 7 or 8 people have gone to the signings. Geddy looks pretty happy in many of them. I think the photo of "fan standing while Geddy signs their book" is expected by now, it's just that he's behind a table and can't hold up the line for repeated photos. In some places a store employee has been nice enough to take photos, in others, people ask the person behind them in line to take one. I'm not sure about the friend without a ticket, I would call the store and ask. My husband is coming with me to Philly and the Bookstore there said he can accompany me in the store but not all the way into the book signing area. Thanks for the advice...we have a friend who will be with us with who does not have a ticket.
  14. I was listening to Music Choice Classic Rock on my cable tv, and I was pleasantly surprised when they played Xanadu. There is no video with Music Choice, just general pictures and facts. I remember a time when I listened to a record or a cassette and had to envision the music in my imagination. In a time before MTV, those guys were really talented at bringing the visual to life.
  15. I like Portrait by Kansas, a song about the genius of Albert Einstein.
  16. The live version captures the essence of the song...the words of the profits were written on the studio wall...concert hall....the crowd interacting throughout is what makes that song...It is a song meant to be heard live.
  17. Spirit of Radio for obvious reasons anything off of Captured from Journey...the studio versions don't have the same emotion as the live
  18. I used to think so, but Clockwork Angels takes the cake. It is a true culmination of their career.
  19. And the men who hold high places...aren't we lucky to be part of such a successful club...that is why we have so many references in movies, tv, literature, etc...because the kids who grew up listening to them are now in positions of influential power...amazing
  20. My Nebby knows that he can call me and come home, his brother Nebuchadnezzar went to England for four months about 11 years ago, he came home and started an online magazine. Groupie Barbie though, I know it is hard when you get older...I hope that she has found purpose in her life.
  21. Thank you so much, you have seen him...What has he been up to? Did he go to Aruba with the Barbie Babes, he said that might do that before he flew on stage.
  22. My red Dragon, Nebby, went on tour with Rush and the Barbies on the Snakes and Arrows tour...did anyone see him or know what happened to him?...thank you...concerned Dragon Mother.
  23. I have an off wall request...I am writing a review/article/personal experience of the Rush Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Fan Day...I met a few of you there, and I brought my dragon Nebby, if you have any pictures of my dragon...would you please send them to me with your names(if you want your names included)...this is for our online magazine ...thank you so much... https://thedragonline.wordpress.com/
  24. Clockwork Angels is truly a masterpiece. It is a story laid out in the form of an album that takes us through a young man's journey through life...It is very universal...It is perfect ending catalog piece to Rush's discography.
  25. We reserved a hotel on Sunday and were not able to get tickets online...we went on faith anyway and were able to buy two tickets at the door...God is amazing...he told us to go...we went...and a desire of my heart was fulfilled...We came from Pittsburgh too.
