  1. This is a really good piece. Take a listen!! (and read the score if you'd like: http://carolineshaw....TA-EXCERPTS.pdf) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mukrVsKqTs As a bonus, Amid the Minotaurs by William Brittelle:
  2. Wearing something like this: http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mpLjv5DqVwMmAPUREXG7ZcQ.jpg
  3. 1 1/2 D because without glasses it's only half of 3D?...
  4. There was a thread started about this new series on a horse-related (imagine that!) forum I am a member of. The OP wondered if it would encourage girls to start riding, and the consensus was that it'll just be something new for the guys who groove on MLP to perv on (not my words). It's actually getting panned by some of the brony community! I don't see myself "perv"ing on it, but I'm sure someone will. Heck, someone has perved on Steve Buscemi.
  5. Equestria Girls trailer... Thoughts???
  6. I seem to be the only one here who went to the Minneapolis show... Fantastic production, terrible choice of venue. The whole crowd was standing, shoulder to shoulder, and they all seemed to barely fit onstage!
  7. Just saw Steven Wilson in Minneapolis... Holy smokes! The venue was quite crowded and uncomfortable, but I loved how tight and energetic the show was. I was impressed by Marco and Guthrie on the recording, but they sounded even better in person. Also, Steven Wilson is much funnier than I expected!
  8. July 29, 1992. Even Roll the Bones has been around forever to me! :o

  10. My mom just had a lobe of her lung removed due to cancer in a patently gruesome surgery just under two weeks ago... The chances of the cancer coming back are very low, and we're lucky that we caught it unusually early. It was only stage 1A, and we found it coincidentally through a CT scan. Seeing her in all this pain makes me support your decision all the more.
  11. I didn't begin to consider myself a brony until Winter Wrap Up. But I did start enjoying it around episode 4. And as of about a year and a half ago, I am hopelessly addicted until further notice. Oh well, could be worse! :hail:
  12. Thank you, Steel Rat, for alleviating my loneliness in this thread
  13. If you want diabeetus, watch Snowdrop.
  14. "Me and Sarah Jane" may not have anything crazy rhythmically, but harmonically it is a beast of a song. If that isn't progressive, I don't know what is. "Cul de Sac" is another song with many progressive elements that isn't mentioned often. And "Down and Out" is an extremely obvious mention.

  16. I've loved all the finales so far. The only thing I didn't like was how rushed it was, and I felt like it was a bit melodramatic in parts considering how quickly the conflict was resolved. But those songs. Hngh.
  17. For me, it's especially The Hero's Return/The Gunner's Dream and Fletcher Memorial Home.
  18. So that finale was pretty damned awesome. :)
