At this point as long as I get a Magee Grace CD I'm OK.
-
He's primarily done with that, which is why others are disappointed. I know this may be hard to believe, but Alex was typecast most of the time in Rush.
-
They need to release that show at some point.
-
Guess I'm buying this for these although the only recordings I don't have CD recordings of are the first single, The Laura Secord songs, The Vault editions and the final 2015 medley. (I'd really love them to release the 8/1/15 CD/DVD package one day.) Seems like they are trying for the delicate balance between the novices and the more experienced. They may have succeeded in that but I have to admit I'm a little disappointed there isn't previously unreleased material, even if it's just more live bread crumbs.

Doesn't make sense to release these things at the same time or within weeks or months of each other. Bad for business. We could be looking at three releases in 6 months which is still kind of bunched together. Vinyl box, R50 box in February and Grace 40 at some point after that.

It's inspiring that he continues to be polite after all of this time.

Rank these bands favorite to least favorite.

Me three. But none of them are regular listens for me except for Fear of a Blank Planet. -
I'll take your word for it until February when I'll have my own opinion.

Same as the old Dream Theater song.....
-
Just because a song is released doesn't mean you have to listen to it. I just wait until the album is released so I can listen to everything all at once. Seems obvious but maybe I'm weird that way.
-
I already do that. I always have time for good music.
-
King Crimson Tull Fish Marillion Yes The Police Queen Pink Floyd The Beatles These are better in my experience.
-
I'll admit I thought about getting this for a while, but I really only wanted Test For Echo on vinyl (have originals of the rest.) so I passed. Waiting pays off yet again.
-
Hopefully this will be a nice appetizer for the new Envy Of None record.

That Rhino box was a surprise. Nobody saw that coming. Seems like they wanted to get some Rush out to cover the holidays. They didn't even get that right. Apparently there was some glitches with some of the covers. I don't think anyone is thinking about that Body Electric cartoon. Whoever runs the show now has no interest in history lessons.

Apparently there are CDs so I got one. Love her voice, but I really want to hear Alex do Alex. I guess this will have to do until the second Envy Of None album is finally released.

The man is on fire on most of Power Windows and Hold Your Fire. Not something you appreciate after a few listens.
-
Record Stores were great for that. I miss them.
-
Only worry for me is they don't make a DVD for the 2nd leg. I'd much rather have that one and I don't know if we get both.
-
Think it's still a matter of when. Power Windows was a platinum album. Grace Under Pressure didn't do as well commercially, but there were four videos, one of which (The Body Electric) has never been part of an official release (Except for the Through The Camera Eye video.) But as you say. Only time will tell....

Only listened once. Will digest more after the album arrives.
