  1. Sorry, putting the link in as 'media' doesn't allow for download. Here is the link... if you copy and paste it into your browser's address bar, it should let you save the file. Let me know if that worked. www.trfmusicians.com/audio/pags/pags_rush_medley.mp3
  2. Absolutely. http://www.trfmusicians.com/audio/pags/pags_rush_medley.mp3
  3. I'm amazed anyone knows who I am anymore. Thanks Nate! Nate's 2.5 years to my 8.5... I'm ancient!! :codger: 8.5 years at an internet site is like being a tortoise from Galapagos, or a span of geological time. :laughing guy: To sum up all my arguments and convos in the Rush part of the forum: Old Rush good, New Rush... JUST AS GOOD. Vapor Trails is a stellar album, but it needs to be remastered (NOT REMIXED). Yes, I like Heresy. I don't care about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but I'm happy for them if they are happy. It's more fun to be celebrated than overlooked, I guess. I don't care about being friends with anyone in the band. I like them for the job they do, and have no illusions that my fate to have them over to my house for a BBQ is the way it's supposed to be. However... I won a staring contest with Neil. (I really did) I hate seeing the set list before I see the show (I'm in 'that' camp) I think John Rutsey rocks. It's like a cheese grater on my ass when I see it referred to as "Spirit of the Radio". I don't care if Geddy never brings back the Ric. But he better not ever pick up the Steinberger again. I always wanted to know who Alex was saying "STOP! PLEASE, STOP!" to, and why. I don't like to listen to the recent live CD's, because I don't think the vocals sound that good. But to see a live show, or watch a recent DVD is entirely another matter. The combo of sight with sound makes all the difference. It's killer. I'm happy I was able to find a technological home for my jacket... TRF. The last two albums I got into by the band are Grace Under Pressure and Caress of Steel. For years, I hated them. But then it finally clicked and now I think they each contain some of the band's best work. But I find genius in every album. (See New Rush... JUST AS GOOD) AND If anyone ever asked what my favorite self-started topic was, it would be The Sounds in the Songs. All that took 8 and a half years. Sheesh!
  4. Thank you! :) This is pulled out from the larger medley. FOL comes out of Red Barchetta, and Here Again goes into The Camera Eye.
  5. Er... it looks like you broke your own rule.
  6. Thanks Lerxster, Yeah, I've learned through first uploading the medley file that the copyright issues not only block visibility depending on the country, it also keeps it being visible on mobile type devices. Sorry, wish I knew a way around that.

  8. Here is an excerpt (2nd single) from the Mega Medley Project I. The Fountain of Lamneth (edit) / Here Again Video. It takes segments ofThe Fountain of Lamneth from the group's 3rd studio album Caress of Steel, and goes into Here Again from the debut RUSH album. It also features FoxxiStarr's killer Alex montage. Link to full medley at end of video. I encourage and appreciate your comments. http://youtu.be/FHMNo6SoX94
  9. http://youtu.be/mf-0hW0yy8I YouTube Description: This is the studio version of Tom Sawyer from the Moving Pictures album, mixed with the South Park Intro from the Snakes and Arrows Live DVD. The music mix is accompanied by a video containing images relevant to the song and the Moving Pictures album, as well as assorted video clips. I hope you check it out and enjoy. Comments would be awesome. :rush: :Alex: :Neil: :geddy: :rush:
  10. Hi GLS, Thanks for the kind word. I'm troubled by what you had said about the video not being available. I can still see it fine, but now wonder if I'm the only one who can? I have the video in my sig, let me know if you can view it. Are you in the United States? Perhaps this is a visibility issue based upon the country you're in? Not sure. I hope you can see it. :(

  12. Miss all you guys so much. The pags household is always a happier place when you come to visit. :sundog:
  13. ...and they both suck. If that is what we'd have to look forward to on a VT re-release I'd rather the idea be shelved. And thrown out And put into a trash compactor. Then incinerated.
  14. Thanks! I see you're new to TRF so welcome here. I've recevied some really nice comments both here and on YouTube and each one of them is highly appreciated. The audio mix was done several years ago using a very old version of Adobe Premiere. I made it using lossless .wav files so the sound quality would not be reduced. The audio mixing tools on Premiere allowed for three levels of audio tracks to be overlapped which I utilized often during song transitions. Sometimes there is a lot going on at the same time to help make the switch between songs somehow flow. It took several iterations (train wrecks) and many times walking away from it for a while until an idea that made sense would finally hit me. There was more I wanted to do with it, but I litererally ran out of time. The mix is 78 minutes long and a CD can't hold more than 80 minutes. I think that limitation is a good thing or I'd probably still be working on it and building it into an even more massive monster than it already is. The video is a slide show on steroids using nothing more than Windows Movie Maker. It's made using a collection pics from the web, several screen snaps I made myself from various videos (so you won't see them anywhere else), and video clips either saved from YouTube or ripped from my Rush DVDs. The audio file was dropped into the Movie Maker program, and each slide was added in linear style from 00:00 to 1:18:18. The .mp4 file is a little more than 2.2GB. I haven't tried burning it to a DVD yet, but I really should. Then I can hand copies out to my fellow TRF Rush heads at the next Rush show (if I'm lucky enough to attend one). Sorry.. long answer to a short question.
  15. Happy Birthday to a great guy!!
  16. Hey thanks so much for the kind words. I'm really glad there are some folks who have enjoyed it.
  17. This is a hypothetical story about a guy named… Myron M. Yeah, we’ll call him Myron M. Myron found out today that although his organization surpassed their financial targets for 2012, there will still be no raises or bonuses because the corporation as a whole did not meet its financial objectives. As the head of the leadership team for the organization put it in a wonderful analogy… “Let’s say a child in your family is celebrating something and there will be cake. Everyone in the family gets to have some of the cake. But that can only be if there is cake, and right now there is no cake.” Myron was simply overtaken by the brilliance of this analogy, and felt that the thousands of people in attendance of this audio webcast would certainly have had their tensions eased from this wonderful explanation after being told they would receive nothing for their hard-earned achievement. But then… another analogy quickly occurred to Myron which seemed to make more sense and would like to present it to his organization like this: “A senior in high school works their ass off to get straight A’s every marking period to consistently make the high honor role. Their hard work pays off and they receive an A in every subject throughout the year. However they are informed they would not be graduating with high honors because their sibling, who tried very hard to do well but could not get higher than low B’s and high C’s, did not achieve the requirements necessary for receiving high honors. As a result of this, the university considering them for a full scholarship is no longer interested, and they would not be getting a dime. And THAT, my fellow straight A students, is the PROPER analogy." Cake…. unfuckinbelievable. Errrr said Myron.
  18. Happy anni Daylin. You are such a positive force in our household.
