  1. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jan 3 2008, 04:19 AM)And now after a surprise award followed by a totally expected one here's a heart-warming story wrapped up in an award, a story that breaks me up every time I think about it: It's the NEED SOME LOVE award She's a pin-up on this forum and probably the wider web. A supermodel, a sultry sweetheart. I'm talking about Aprul Congratulations Aprul http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c107/andrewq2112/Miscellaneous/behemothDISTURBED.jpg Well she's got what keeps a young man alive, and I'm sayin you need it now http://www.idhitit.org/gallery/general063.jpg
  2. I was just browsing gemm.com (great for hard-to-find records) and came across this Misfits record: http://www.gemm.com/item/MISFITS/BULLET--7INCH/GML757631010/ Oh, to be a rich, completely batshit insane record collector.

  4. The Hand That Rocks the Cradle
  5. This isn't really an unimportant scene at all, but one of my favorites is the end of Metropolis when the city is falling apart and Kenichi is trying so hard to rescue Tima, even though she's completely flipped her robot shit and is trying to kill him. I know it's a cartoon, but damn, what a scene. The Ray Charles song during that part doesn't help....
  6. and a better hint than "it was one of my favorite movies".
  7. I watched some of the metal episode and they were just talking about the black album for a long time.
  8. Blade Runner (Four Disc) The Films of Alejandro Jodorowsky Box Set (Fando y Lis / El Topo / The Holy Mountain) Live Free or Die Hard (Unrated) Futurama: Bender's Big Score
  9. I don't usually like westerns, but Tombstone is one of my favorite movies. Love Sam Elliot in this, if that dude wasn't made for westerns nobody is.

  12. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Dec 21 2007, 10:50 AM)QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Dec 21 2007, 07:46 AM) QUOTE (rushgoober @ Dec 21 2007, 09:41 AM) Of the movies mentioned, I only saw the two Terminator movies and Total Recall (no interest in the others). Alright, I saw parts of 2 or 3 of other ones listed, but not the whole movies. Anyway, as much as I love Total Recall, it's hard to compete with T2. I'm honestly shocked that more people so far have voted for the first Terminator movie. It's a great movie, but the 2nd one blew it away I thought... I thought the story in TR was more fun that Terminator (I or II). You do have a point as it was a majorly fun story, but I give T2 the ede for 2 reasons: 1. The cool factor. T2 has to be one of the top 5 or so coolest (not necessarily best) movies ever made right up there with the first Matrix. 2. The end of Total Recall bugged me (pun intended). The whole part where they don't have oxygen and their bodies get huge and their eyes bug out before the oxygen comes back and they return to normal is just beyond silly. I know, perhaps I'm quibbling, but that scene always bothered me and distracted somewhat from the movie overall. Still a great and fun movie though. Oh man, how can you not love this face? http://sydlexia.com/imagesandstuff/arnold/recall1.jpg I'm about to cry with laughter just looking at that picture.
  13. QUOTE (tick @ Dec 20 2007, 12:45 PM) QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Dec 20 2007, 09:43 AM) Not Sam Raimi that's for sure. I think he lost it with Spider-Man 3. I think he deserves a pass based upon the fact the first two were so incredible. Yeah, you're right, I love most of his other movies too much to write him off. God help him if there's a Hobbit jazz club dance scene though.
  14. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Dec 20 2007, 12:53 PM) QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Dec 20 2007, 12:04 PM) QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Dec 20 2007, 08:49 AM) Commando! One of the funniest movies ever. The part where he recklessly drives his truck down a mountain gets me every time. Matirx: "Sully, rememba how I promised to kill you last?...I lied" Sully: "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" classic! My favorite one liner from that may have been "Let off some steam!" right before he impales the guy on a steam pipe. Crap I miss Arnie so much now that we started to talk about it. I'll have to grab up all his movies as they are released on BluRay. I think Predator release is already skedded and I'll be picking that one up on release day - one of the best action flicks of all time. I love the part where Bennett and Arnold are shooting at each other from behind walls. Arnold gets hit in the arm and Bennett says: "How's the arm, John?" to which Arnold responds with the greatest comeback ever: "Come over and find out!" His delivery is perfect. Arnold ruled so hard back then. Now we get "talk to the hand" in Terminator 3.
  15. Arnold's commentary on the Conan DVD is so funny.
  16. Commando! One of the funniest movies ever. The part where he recklessly drives his truck down a mountain gets me every time.
  17. Not Sam Raimi that's for sure. I think he lost it with Spider-Man 3.
  18. The Hellboy films are directed by Guillermo del Toro who's always visually interesting. Devil's Backbone, Hellboy, and Pan's Labyrinth are pretty amazing visually.
  19. By the time it got to the fifteen minute underground rave scene in the second Matrix, I was ready to leave. I stuck with it, but it didn't get better. Sadly, I own all three movies because my mom was bad with Colombia House and never canceled shit. I did buy the first one the first day I got a DVD player, but she gave me the others. I think she hates me.
  20. Some of the funniest reviews on Amazon: LOL What a turd.
  21. I tried to find the Family Guy clip where Peter and Lois are watching the theme song, but it was removed from Youtube. Also, Bea Arthur scares me.
  22. I liked it, but it felt more like an action movie to me. Asia Argento was the highlight for me.
