The entire middle section is such bloat. Take out tracks 6-11 and this album improves a lot

Not quite, theyre very much indie. Their earlier albums had more of a "group of guys jamming out" kinda feel to them, eventually they evolved to be more, for lack of better terms, "professional/mainstream", but still very much kept their originality and experimentation. Ill give 2 songs to highlight this this is from 1996 This is 2004

This might just be a perfect album. Definitely one of the best vocals albums of all time...

i assume you mean to guess if i liked the album? honestly a little disappointed, Temples first 2 albums were Psych rock heaven, with magic chord progressions that could mesmerize you and made you love it. Now most of it is more predictable and towards the poppy side. I still think its good but nowhere near their past work. But yes, quite incredible art (see post below)

The Mission art is so "late career album from a 70s/80s rock and roll band". Crash art is so much better
