Getting PTO straightened out for myself and my daughter who works with me made my day. A simple mistake that my manager corrected right away. Priests praise his name on this night

The bruise is starting to wrap around the back of my arm but is fading some on top where it started. Everything I've looked up regarding plasma hematoma says this is normal. Kinda fascinating to watch

I went and listened to them and was surprised by how deep his voice is. He looks like he's 12 in that picture lol -
Musical milestones in your life

My family was pretty religious so we weren't allowed to listen to the Devil's music growing up. It was either mom's Bluegrass (which I still enjoy) or church hymns. 1988 was a watershed year for me musically aside from Rush. I was in 8th grade and started really growing out my hair. I heard Welcome To The Jungle by Guns and Roses and that blew me away. I quickly got into metal with Metallica: Master of Puppets and also got into rap at the same time with Ice-T: Power thanks to my best friend. I'd been grooving to Red Hot Chili Peppers but it wasn't until Blood Sugar Sex Magik that I really became a fan. ETA: Forgot to add getting into less mainstream such thanks to my girlfriend at the time. The Cure, Depeche Mode, older U2 (which started with the 2nd side of The Joshua Tree. The first side was too popish and all over the radio) and even old Country -
:goodone: This. Were you active with your arm afterwards? I used to donate and one time finished and went to help move furniture. That left me with a big bruise where the needle had been . . . If you donate again, you should tell them what happened. It's getting bigger and didn't start until yesterday. I donated Wednesday. Pretty much pain free today so that's good. I told my wife I would tell anyone who asked that she hit me..but she threatened to hit me for real so I passed. I haven't done anything physical beyond sweeping the kitchen and carrying a laundry basket

Reminds me of the stories I started telling people after I broke my arm as a kid. My favorite lie to explain the long scars from surgery was telling people I got in a knife fight with my brother. Than there's the scar on my wrist that made people think I cut myself. I blamed that one on my mom cutting me with a razor blade. It's a massive half truth but my mom really did slice my wrist with a razor blade while trying to cut matted fur off my dog growing up. I was holding him and he jerked so I got sliced instead of the fur. Innocent accident makes for a boring story

I have a hematoma on my arm from donating plasma. I was told to expect some swelling and pain but wasn't expecting bruising. Is this normal?

I did this at a work meeting..almost under my breath Manager: Everyone know why we're here? Me: Because we're here roll the bones

It doesn't matter what I say So long as I sing with inflection That makes you feel I'll convey Some inner truth or vast reflection But I've said nothing so far And I can keep it up for as long as it takes And it don't matter who you are If I'm doing my job then it's your resolve that breaks

For me it's working in snippets of song lyrics into everyday conversations. It's like movie/TV quotes

It's pretty straight forward until Alex's turn. Best. Speech. Ever

I had to have the name explained to me since I don't follow Football. By then the name had stuck. I mostly call him 'meathead' now due to binge watching Orphan black once with the wife and then again with the daughter.
