  1. For the most part, it's probably the most honest source of news that I can find. There is a lot to be learned in there.
  2. Kill the Irishman It's about Danny Greene. I'll give it a solid 8 out of 10
  3. I highly doubt it was about the remark. Wow.
  4. And in the end The love you take Is equal to the love......you make
  5. I think Earthsine is greatness. From the lyrics to the music.
  6. Buddy Rich is easily greater! There are many objective arguments for that. :) There are many arguments for that, sure. Objective? Nah man, there's not a single argument you can make about Buddy being better than Neil that would be considered objective. The ear and eyeball tests make it clear that Buddy Rich is a better drummer than Neil.
  7. Since there are only three, I have to agree.
  8. Give it up already. The best you could hope for is a cameo appearance. They are too old to tour and play the demanding style that the have always played.
  9. I agree when Neil said he was done, it was time for HIM to retire. My frustration with Neil is with the way he handled it...he gave everyone short notice, and he took Geddy and Alex into retirement with him. It now appears there will be no Lee Lifeson "project." They clearly weren't ready to call it quits at that moment picked by Neil. It would have been nice for Neil to acknowledge that and to publicly encourage his two lifetime co-workers to record together again. . Why should Neil have gone public with that? It's a private matter between the three of them whether Neil is ok with Geddy and Alex doing new music. Also they're two grown men and can do whatever the hell they want. I doubt Neil cares if they continue on with new music. I know Geddy will do solo albums again. I just think he's relaxing right now and enjoying things he didn't have the time for all those years he was busy with Rush. Same with Alex. Although I think he's more inclined to just enjoy retirement, smoke weed and probably just do some guest recording spots here and there. Why? They are not a private organization. He had life long co-workers, that supported him when it counted. They both said they weren't ready to retire. Supporting them would have been the right thing to do. What is the harm in saying he was interested in what they record without him? Maybe Geddy has one solo album left. Maybe. Alex has been cold on that idea. I doubt they do one together. Damn shame. Rush has never aired their personal business in public though. Who's to say that the matter of Geddy and Alex continuing on with music wasn't addressed between the three of them in private? Neil may not have handled the ending of the band the way a lot of people liked but we shouldn't need his ok if Geddy and Alex want to do other musical projects. We aren't dealing with a rational person on this subject nor any other subject.

Part of being a Rush fan is accepting the fact that even if Geddy, Alex and Neil are your personal heroes, they're not saints. Nobody's perfect 100% of the time. Personally, I always hated how Neil forced Ged and Al's hands into retirement even though they didn't want to, and to be honest, I'm also a bit disappointed in Geddy for not having a spine. He should have told Neil "Look, you may be done, but I'm not. I still want to perform, I still want to make new music, and whether you want to participate or not is your perogative." I guess he's just too nice to do that. . The “forced into retirement” and “not having a spine” are just what go on in your frarocky head. Maybe he did say that to Neil. How would we know? Maybe he’s Canadian. And how many times do you need to hear this? ——> Neil deciding to retire is not an edict for Geddy and Alex to stop making music. Hell, Alex has already contributed to some music projects since the end of R40. And believing otherwise is reaching to the extreme.

So. When someone does something kind for you you keep score? If his heart isn't in it, then retiring is the right thing to do.
  12. I bet I've seen Ghostbusters 10 times in three weeks. My 3 year old son and my 8 year old daughter basically want to watch it on repeat. So does my baby 2 year old girl. But I think she's into it because the other two are into it.
  13. You don't know me. I don't support the idea of calling it Rush without Geddy, Alex, AND Neil. Lay off of me. I don't support it either honestly. Yes you would. Mate. No I would not so shut your f***ing trap n just leave me be. N leave my friends be too. I think you would. Mate. You don't know me. Take a chill pill, Jr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc&sns=em My Dad would have grabbed me by the hair, dragged me to the back yard and started whipping my ass. And deservedly so.
  14. I dont understand there reasons. Nothing should end RUSH, But yes i kind of do get it, Im positive someday they will return, Fingers Crossed Toes crossed :hail: Neil Peart has been in pain for a number of years drumming. He decided to go out at the top of his game and now can spend time with his family. After what happened to him in the 90s, I'll never fault him for that decision. The band left on top. How many bands/artists can you count that could claim that? I understand that, I wasnt trying to be bitter about it, I love Neil very much - I just want them to make another record I just hope they are all doing well, Alex is my hero and the nicest one in the band, I would be thrilled if he made another solo album with Les claypool on bass !!!! :smoke: Ain't gonna happen.
  15. Tai Shan.............. Going to take a piss first. Finding a place to hit a one hitter without (these days) being caught and buying two beers for myself. And all along wishing I had mushrooms or real ecstacy (though I wouldn't do it these days) to allow me to make it through it.
  16. I dont understand there reasons. Nothing should end RUSH, But yes i kind of do get it, Im positive someday they will return, Fingers Crossed Toes crossed :hail: If they do, they will be so old that you may be very disappointed in the performance. Hell man! They gave over forty years. I got a lot more out of them than I thought I ever would. Your right, I got many years of enlightenment from the guys, I just really want more, Same as you They can always play slower songs like tai shan I can’t tell if your last sentence is a joke or not Good Lord I can't either!

  18. About twenty five years ago, I was at a rail road crossing and one of the train cars had RUSH2112 spray painted on it.
  19. Have you ever filled out either the STOP BANG or the Epworth questionnaires? http://jcsm.aasm.org/ArticleImages/jcsm.10.2.155a.jpg I didn't think I had any issues until I did a home sleep test. ETA: The only issue I had was snoring. (other than gender and age) No to all.
