  1. Oops, I just ruined my friend's day by showing him this, even though we both knew this was coming. I personally think Neil should be able to retire when he wants, and, if that's now, he should be able to do it without people whining and calling him a selfish prick. Most people probably would've retired after their daughter and wife died, and Neil really shows us how he's passionate about the music and loves doing what he does (which also means performing for YOU). I only got to see Rush perform once in my life, and that's all I needed. Although I'm sure he really loved performing, he should be able to stop now if that's what he feels he really needs to do. Plus, he has a family and life outside Rush and entertaining us (who knew famous people had lives outside what they do to entertain us?). Who are we to tell him what life choices he should make? (and I'm sure we'd literally make him drum to death if we did).
  2. Nah, I'm sure Geddy can drum too. Bass, singing, keyboards/synths, drumming while doing all of that won't be too much for him to handle!
  3. Doesnt matter too much to me, I'm too cheap for premium ($10 a month just for music? Seems a bit steep to me.) and shuffle only gave me Clockwork Angels versions of songs, and now added R40 to the mix. Most songs are never shuffled through, and I can only listen to those on my tablet (luckily it's like premium, but with ads and without offline play).
  4. I always use Spotify while doing homework and because most of the songs it chooses are from the Clockwork Angels tour (their shuffle system isn't very good), I've grown to not really mind his voice then, despite it having been as bad as it was. I understand they're all aging, and hey, I don't even care, they're still legends! Not all of us younger folk are oblivious, I just hope those who don't understand consider how hard it can be to be doing this for 40 years.
  5. I'm only 15, and I first listened to Rush around eight, but didn't really become obsessed with them until last year, and then I saw them in R40. At least it's good to know not everyone in my generation listens to garbage.
  6. Just someone who hasn't even been alive as long as you've been a Rush fan passing through...
  7. I couldn't decide, so I just closed my eyes and picked one, but I couldn't force myself to just pick randomly. I spent a good ten minutes contemplating this until I remembered I have a lot of homework (I'm probably the youngest member on this forum) and I picked Red Barchetta.
  8. The way he hunches over and puts his hands on his legs between songs? You can see him breathing heavy. Though to be fair, lesser drummers would probably have a coronary playing like he does. Couldn't agree more. Even though he doesn't have the healthiest lifestyle, he still blows all other drummers out of the water!
