  1. Something about the Austrian Renaissance Faire, what?
  2. What's up with Alex's teeth there? Omg. Dentures
  3. Who? Vaguely remember. Does he still post here?
  4. I guess it WOULD be worse for them to literally piss in your face as opposed to the figurative pissing in the face to the fan base that was Presto. iIRC Presto was more along the lines of bringing back the fanbase who left during the mid 80's.
  5. Presto I loved it at the time as it was the first Rush studio album since I had become a fan and they could have pissed in my face and I would have come back for more everytime. Time has not been so kind to it although I actually think it is a very nice sounding album. It drags in the middle and Scars and Superconductor suck.
  6. You have to give them credit for going out on a limb with the album. I couldn't take a steady diet of it (all the songs start to sound the same after while), but it's good to listen to every once in a while. They sounded a little lost musically. It was if they were going through an identity crisis. They were trying to respond to changing musical landscape instead of just being Rush. Love 'em or hate 'em, that's what I love about Snakes and Arrows and Clockwork Angels...Rush was making music they "wanted to make" instead of making music they "had to make" to keep up with the trends at the time. The last two albums were, in my opinion, made on their own terms with little regard to record sales with brilliant results. This is hilarious. Never realized this was RGLT.
  7. There probably is even some debate among Rush fans where the "We have assumed control" is coming from .. It always seemed to me to be kind of a forced ending otherwise it would have gone on forever. Pretty epic ending but still....
  8. I think its more ambiguous myself.
  9. One Little Victory < Far Cry Ceiling Unlimited <Armor and Sword Ghost Rider < Workin' Them Angels Peaceable Kingdom > The Larger Bowl The Stars Look Down < Spindrift How It Is <The Main Monkey Business Vapor Trail < The Way The Wind Blows Secret Touch > Hope Earthshine > Faithless Sweet Miracle - Bravest Face Nocturne <Good News First Freeze (Part IV of "Fear") < Malignant Narcissism Out Of The Cradle < We Hold On Snakes wins almost definitively.

  13. I wonder if anyone there has posted about starting a fight with him.
  14. I couldnt imagine how anyone could apreciate that album until I came here.
  15. In Absentia Deadwing Fear of a Blank Planet For the Rush fan inside all of us. Lerxst even plays a solo on a track. I also like rhe Psychedic-ish period of the mid -90’s. I'll second that on Deadwing. I'll also recommend Signify/Insignificance. Yeah and Sky Moves Sideways.
  16. Midnight Oil In only have the RSL comp or whatever its called. Always felt it was worth getting albums by them but not quite sure what. Seems like I like the sound of the Blue Sky Mine, Diesel and Dust period. I just gotta take the plunge like I did 6 months ago with Tragically Hip.

As it should be.
  19. Were just all expressing our appreciation. Enjoy your holiday.
  20. Joe is mine by far but Fergie has a grit that neither Joe or Kimball can match. Maybe the best pure vocalist but he cant touch what Joe can do as far as a storyteller. I meant to say that Fergie is my favourite vocalist ever who joined Toto but if we are talking about singers whilst IN Toto, Joe, Steve and Paich are my top three. I love Kimball but I really love the others more. Paich is very underrated. If we had more live material and another album I would probably say Fergie is my favourite hands down, but my favourite of his work was with Trillion and Le Roux. I love his solo work as well. I see. Ive never heard anything else by him but I do really like Isolation. Kkmball I can do without but his harmony vocals are beyond compare.
