  1. What is that? Isn't he a doll? That's Ludwik, the bald guinea pig (I think that's what it is). Treeduck posted a bunch of pictures of him. I'll find the thread and post the link here for you. Here's the link: http://www.therushfo...-aieeeeeeeeeee/ I remember seeing that thread title but thought to myself "Nah, I'll pass on that one"
  2. Watching a Heaven & Hell concert from Wacken on Youtube, drinking a glass (or two) of red wine and geeking out on amps and guitars :)
  3. Escape From Alcatraz. Wonderful movie and I love the fact that we as an audience are on the island the whole time.
  4. Writing down my thoughts before bedtime.
  5. I hear you. Sadly my mind is not wired that way. I tend to worry all the time. Edit: I forgot to say thanks for your condolences :) So do I. I learned it from my Mom. She worried about EVERYTHING...I adapt. I've started a long time ago, to AVOID Worrying!!! LOL http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j223/OldRUSHfan/Banana%20World/bananaParty.gif The way I see it we're f***ed anyway (now there's a good way to use that word haha) so we can either let it knock us down, or we can say 'to hell with it' and get back up. I'm 32 years of deeply rooted habits, so if I'm not to end up like a miserable bastard sitting in a basement and screaming up at the younger, happier kids, I better start changing my ways :codger:

  7. Thanks a lot for your thoughts and condolences it means a lot to me. I don't think it really sets in until I visit my mom and her dog is not there.
  8. My mom had to have her dog put down today. She was sick and they discovered that she had arthritis and a tumor. Instead of putting her through a lot for gaining maybe 6 months, my mom decided that it was time to put her to rest. It was the right thing to do but it still makes me sad. Must be hard for my mom. She has had her dog for 12 years and all of a sudden it got quiet.
  9. You were right I would say.
  10. very Joe Bonamassa I actually have a guitar like that one. One day I'll make a picture just like that :guitar: I remember when you were naming that one... What did you decide on? I never could decide. How do people even name stuff let alone children? It's hard. I actually got inspired seeing Rod's picture of him and his daughter Stella. First I had envisioned something having to do with gold (obviously), but nothing with gold sounds great. I want something that will sound cool to the ears of a danish guy. So that got me thinking. Stella means star. My father died which is how I got the guitar to begin with, so there's a connection. A story that will inspire me. Then I started looking for different words for the same and found Astra. But ... I think Stella works. Rod, I hope this is not weird :)
  11. I actually like the contrast between the old and modern :).
  12. Hope they cleaned the place thoroughly

  14. What made my weekend: Found these two records. They can't be bought individually but with a box set, but the store owner had split up a box set. It was expensive - cost me the same as two weeks of food, but well worth it. Then my family (mother, brother, sister and niece) went to the Danish Railway Museum and saw Thomas The Tank Engine. My niece loves big machines and especially Thomas The Tank Engine, so the look on her face when that train rolled in was priceless. After we all took a small ride on the train she was gleaming with joy. Being part of something special that she will remember for many years makes me proud and happy :).
  15. International World Championship in Ice Hockey. Denmark is playing Kazakhstan tonight and we have to win it. And in 2018 Denmark will host the championship. I'm so gonna buy a ticket for the final. :)
  16. One of the times I saw Rammstein a friend also at the show commented: "Guitars, fire, and screaming Germans--what's not to love?!" It will be my second show with them. First time I was far back in the crowd, but this time I want to smell like barbecue when I go home :fury: I'm tempted to travel to Berlin and see one of their shows there. Seeing them on their home turf must be epic!
  17. Not the worst idea in the world... We'd still be thinking 'f**k'
  18. Bought three records today. Two new and one used. Deep Purple - Shades Of Purple (new and in purple of course :P ) Deep Purple - In Rock (used) Michael Jackson - Off The Wall (new)
  19. I often walk away from my niece as she's speaking, because every other word out of her mouth is either "like" or "basically". It pisses her off when I walk away, but TOO BAD. Speak decent English, my dear, and then maybe I'll listen to you! Why the hell would you do that?! She's your f***ing FAMILY. You shouldn't give a f**k how she speaks. Why shouldn't he give a fu**? Valley girl talk is fu***** up. I don't care if he hates that kind of talk or not, if there is one thing I learned as a human growing up, is that you NEVER turn your back on your family. I may do things that annoy my family, especially my mother, but no matter what happens, she is ALWAYS there for me. You can disapprove of someones behavior by actively turning away from them and still be there for them. It's called setting boundaries. Not doing so is a disservice. If my niece is misbehaving and she won't listen, I walk away from her until she learns that bad behavior will push people away. I'm doing her a favor. I will also say that there are times when you do turn your back on your family. Just because someone is related to you does not make them a good person. If you have a family member, even if it is a parent or a child, and they are abusive or otherwise intolerable then go ahead and leave them behind. No one needs to have abusive or hateful people in their life. Someone once told me that family is friends you haven't chosen yourself. I grew up in a family where there was tension between my father his mother. So I never knew how it was to be in a big happy family. So I'm not hung up on the idea of family before anything else. "Family" is those who actively welcomes you into their lives and who you welcome back.
  20. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? :P Oh heck no
  21. I've heard him use it so sparingly that I would actually be pleasantly surprised to hear him say it.

  23. I use the word myself but there's a time and a place for its use. It doesn't make a difference to me, though I think it's good to have it as a reminder to check yourself before you wreck yourself.
