  1. A friend pointed out that I am in this trailer! From :05 to :11, first row about third from the right. Whee! (Although I wish I had been a little more animated at that very moment :P ) That's cool! :)
  2. Hopefully one forum member has made the final cut. She's been interviewed for about 30 mins so I really hope to see her in this documentary :) (And no it wasn't me). Oh, I hope it wasn't that girl who wears the white dress and leaves in her hair. No, it's not Kelly D. Is she also a member here? Although I've got a feeling that we'll be seeing her in this documentary (as well). She's attended quite a lot of shows from what I've seen on Facebook.
  3. Me too :) Wish we could see it here in a cinema as well on 11/3...

  5. I love it! I have four of them! Also 4 red vinyl versions. Yep. Greatest album ever made. What in the flying f**k do you need 4 of them + 4 red vinyls for? To match your number of nuts and red nuts? You're nuts! Tricked by circumstances! Hemispheres has never left my Rush top 3 (being #1 on occasion and #2 often). Monsters! Hey Johnny! I thought of this thread today! I went shopping and found a red vinyl Hemispheres today! Had to buy it. 20 USD! Did it come with the poster? Those things are almost as hard to come by these days. I've also found a red one with a poster in Toronto two weeks ago. Cost me 40 CAD so not too bad :)
  6. Oh no! That would feel very frustrating. All the way from the Netherlands and then missing the ceremony, shoot. I'm right there with you- my husband was excited by the idea of a road trip (we are about 6 hrs away) but I got the stomach flu on Friday and had it all weekend. At least you have the memories and your great film from the R40 concerts you were able to see. (I think my husband just wanted to spy on my heroes, anyway :D ! ) Oh, that's also too bad. You were also so close, yet unable to make this one as well :( Are you feeling better now?
  7. Oh man... I just got back from Halifax, NS. I've spent a week on PEI and before that 3 days in Toronto. So when I read about this last Thursday while being on PEI I was kicking myself. Why did I go to YYZ before PEI and not after?!? If I had done that I would have been able to go to this event Rebooking my flight home and buying an extra ticket from YYG to YYZ was so super expensive, so that was not an option. This made (and still makes) me feel so sad :( I was so close, yet so far away.
  8. On amazon uk it's up for sale for £5.77 (plus shipping) :) https://www.amazon.c...ywords=roadshow
  9. Oh man... This is one of my CA tour pix. Taken in Halifax, NS, almost three years ago to this day. I soooooo miss those days...
  10. Sending a cyberhug your way Quit it, you uphill gardener. :P Ford, how come you ditched Polly? Every time I saw it, I was reminded I know people like that and they're cloying and not at all realistic. I like the Haida style art much better. Don't you? I was kind of partial to Pollyanna. I'd take her up, but I'm become too attached to Mona. If you could only see me laughing right now. I love that! Thank you for brightening my day, Eagle! Lorraine have you ever seen this version?
  11. You're right :) I actually do know Jon personally and he's indeed a humble & very nice person :)
  12. For the concentration in the Art itself, light & shadow elements and double neck guitar. Here it goes.  Thank you
  13. And a B&W one from TO as well:
  14. A couple of pics from TO (6/17) (As promised in the Geddy thread)
  15. No, Alex actually said it because I remember him mentioning that Vegas would never be their thing but maybe other places....if I can find the link later, I will post it. Regardless though, everyone back away from the ledge. Please. You can read about it here, not the Vegas bit though. I think he mentioned that in another interview during the same period. http://www.torontosu...last-big-hurrah Edit: Vegas link - http://www.blabbermo...nd-of-the-band/ "I would hate to think that we would be one of those bands that would do a couple of weeks in [Las] Vegas — for what reason, I don't know… Ten shows at Madison Square Garden, well, that's a little different. And you bring people in from all over the country. I'm not saying that's something we will do, but that is an option, or it is something that you could put together instead of doing a major tour, and bring people to the venue. Vegas is not the kind of environment, I think, for us. We certainly wouldn't be happy doing something like that."
  16. The first photo is awesome!! Love the bending of the strings!! :haz: :ebert:  Thanks
  17. They certainly are! I haven't seen you around here much lately, CtM. I hope you are doing well. Yep, all is well here in Holland :) I still visit the forum quite often so no worries ;) I've been putting together a photoalbum of my trip to TO during the past couple of weeks. It's so much fun to put all my pics into an album. I just had to share a couple of them here. I'll be posting some more later on. Stay tuned ;)
  18. And two more from the same show ;)
  19. :( That's a shame. I'm glad you guys have both been posting; I love to look at them! :P I just am not a very good searcher myself or else have been around too long since it seems like most of the photos I find of Geddy or any of the guys are ones that have already been posted; I hate to put them up as repeats . . . :( Post away. :) I don't think it matters since so many people aren't here anymore. Fair weather fans. Here are a couple of my pics from the first TO show from last year :)
  20. I think there's a picture out there of Ged and Les Claypool on a boat holding up a fish. And you can find that picture here: https://www.instagra...-by=geddyimages
  21. My question in the LA periscope thread back in August has been answered just now after reading this thread. Now I'm sad once again :(
  22. Did you try to find a big enough shoe to put your blu-ray in so it would feel like a gift when you woke up? ;) Glad you upgraded. I can't imagine NOT watching (and hearing) R40 and all the other recent Rush concert films in HD now. The extra cost for blu-ray is totally worth it. Well yesterday evening it was 'Sinterklaasavond'. That's the moment when as a kid you get your big(ger) prezzies from Sinterklaas :D I'm now tempted to buy several older releases in HD as well :) Start with R30. ;) No, it's going to be S&A I'm afraid ;) The one recorded in my hometown

  24. Happy St. Nicholas Day! Our friends down the street growing up had Dutch parents. Their mom was really good friends with my mom, and my mom was like, "Nell is so sweet. She always has her kids put out their shoes on Dec. 5th so she can put St. Nicholas treats in them. She's the best." We would be like, "Mom, you can do that too, you know . . . " but of course my parents are not Dutch. :) When my mom was little, Santa brought EVERYTHING Christmas Eve, even the tree and decorations, so she thought it was a big deal just getting our tree up like on dec. 20th! :D Yes this is a special tradition for really young children over here. I remember putting out my shoe each night for about two weeks before Sinterklaas eve. The sheer excitement of receiving a small gift or treats like 'pepernoten' / 'taaitaai' / marzipan / 'a chocoladeletter' or a piece of fruit like a tangerine in your shoe the next morning together with the arrival of the gifts on 12/5 was the best feeling in the world when I was a young kid. So yesterday felt a bit like that again when I bought myself a Blue Ray player for my Blue Ray disc :D How fun! I thought about doing the same thing and then just got the regular DVD. It was very tempting for this big release, though! I'm really glad I've got the Blue Ray version. The video looks super crisp and the audio is great as well :)
