Nothing personal, but your taste buds are dead. Maybe, but my wallet is relatively healthy and I am satisfied with the beers I like. Oh and I prefer a can any day over a bottle. So, no silly light gets in mine. This is a prime example of a beer snob. If I don't like what they like, there is something wrong with me? There is nothing wrong with you aside from your taste buds. :D Imagine if you could drink a Bud Light and enjoy it as much as your favorite skunk beer? Everyone has their own opinions. Just happens that mine is always right........lol Drink on friend!

Never had a bad beer in my life and many were warmed and chilled over and over again. In fact when I buy cold beer at the store, sometimes I am to lazy to put it up right away. So, it gets put in the fridge when I want to put in. Could be an hour, could be two days later. Never once had any beer change its taste or appearance. It has always been perfectly fine. I drink beer every day, so I do have some experience with this. I once knew/worked with a guy that had me drive to "Timbucktoo" and back, because he could not drink what was in the store. We were working out of town. Everyone was cool with whatever was available. Not this f***ing beer snob. I must have driven 25 miles until he settled for something and still complained because it was not what he really liked. We let him go shortly thereafter. Not because of the beer, but because he was an asshole. Long live Natural Light and Busch. Its as good as any other and half the price. It also has a crisp, light non-skunk taste and smell. Now if you insist, and you are buying, I will drink whatever you like.

I was there in the second row and it was a guy a couple seats over who yelled to Lerxst to shake it off. We were all amazed at what happened and we all agreed that he should just shake it off and continue on with the show which is exactly what he did after somebody from the front row hit him in the face with a bowling ball. How does one shake off being hit in the face by a bowling ball? I mean a bowling ball is very heavy and if thrown at someone and it hits them in the head, good chance it kills them. Is there any video of this? Bowling ball? Blow up bowling ball maybe?

I wish I worked for a record distributor..... LOL. With a collection like yours I assumed you got them from work. I had a friend that worked for a record distributor. In a warehouse. His job was like a janitor. Turns out he was throwing away much more than just trash. He had two walls covered in bookshelves full of sample vinyl albums all collected after work when the warehouse was closed. Thousands of vinyl albums. Each one of them with the corner cut off and said not for resale on the album covers. He got addicted to crack cocaine and has since died. I always wondered what happened to all those records. Now that I know what crack can do to a person, I know exactly where they all went. I was kidding with you, but my story is true.

I have for most of my life drank beer that has been cold and then returned to room temperature back and forth many times over. I have had beer stored in my basement for more than a year (left over from sisters wedding) that was brought up and chilled and consumed. So as far as safety and taste, I can see no reason why your beer will not be as good as it was the day you bought it. I also like all beers from light to almost gravy heavy. I prefer light beers and i prefer the cheap stuff the best. In fact I am going to a bar later this afternoon that has Busch for 75 cents a can. This is what I will drink. Its good and cheap. Two things I can really appreciate.

"Late Show With Stephen Colbert" - Will Rush Appear on CBS?
John V replied to Geddyleegenes's topic in Rush
Great idea...I'll do this. I love that show (outside of sports it's the only time I ever watch CBS) and have wondered why they haven't been on it. They would certainly be worthy of a segment. They sure would. And for those who have never watched "Sunday Morning". I feel sorry for you as you have missed some excellent television. It is the very best network show there is. I have satelight and never watch either of the big three (I don't count Fox cause they suck), except for "Sunday Morning" I have the email address somewhere. At the end of the show each Sunday, they tell you to write to them for future ideas for shows. This is the email I have been using for a couple years now. Good luck. -
Have you been laid yet?

What record distributor were you working for. I assume you are no longer with them?.....LOL

"Late Show With Stephen Colbert" - Will Rush Appear on CBS?
John V replied to Geddyleegenes's topic in Rush
I have been emailing CBS "Sunday Morning" about Rush, as they highlight music and the people that make music. I have had no success and they never respond to any of my emails. I especially wanted them to honor Rush with their 40th anniversary. "Sunday Morning" would be a great idea for a Rush segment. The perfect venue to revisit their history and what's planned for the future. Maybe if more people emailed them, it might happen. -
Have the police ever visited you for playing 2112 too loud?
John V replied to Tinwoodsman's topic in Rush
My wife and I were sitting outside in very nice spring weather a couple evenings ago. I had Rush playing "shuffle whole collection" pretty loud along with adult refreshments and smoke. She mentioned to me that this type of evening would no longer be acceptable if we were to move to a townhouse as we had planned. After thinking about this even more, I realized there is more to this story than loud music. I now realize the freedom I will lose to others, should we move to a multi family dwelling. Of course we are getting up in age now and taking care of 2 acres of grass to mow and gardens to tend, a house to maintain and taxes to pay, we thought moving to the city would be our best bet. Thanks to loud Rush music and some encouraging words from my wife, we are going to try and build our own house, our way and as far out in the country as we can get. Long live loud Rush music outside at night. In our own courtyard. I realize now I can downsize without leaving the sanctuary of the wonderful woods. -
What kind of new non-stick pan did you get? I see the rivets, but could not see the handle. I made tamales yesterday. Started Weds night. Talk about a job! You're dish, looks very good!

Top left is what we have. Its an Atlas brand made in Greece I believe. 100% bronze with stainless steel grinding mechanism. The Atlas on the top right looks like it holds half the amount of peppercorns, compared to the Atlas on the right. We have had ours for over 20 years with zero issues. The two screws on the side are to remove/replace the grinding mechanism in case it ever needs to be replaced. Not many grinders can be rebuilt like the Atlas. IMO its the Cadillac of pepper mills. It wasn't cheap - it was like $50-$60 but by far the best pepper mill I've ever used. Buy one per lifetime is my motto. I always have to tell my wife to buy stuff that she can give to our grandkids when we are gone. Don't waste money on crap that will be gone in no time. Quality furniture comes to mind. That grinder was a lot of money back when we bought it. But still is like new. So it was the best deal.

There is not much I don't like today. I was not picky as a kid, but like many, I was not fond of most vegetables. The one vegetable I still cannot eat is green peas. I could make myself eat peas that came from frozen, but it would most likely take a gun to get me to eat peas that originated from a can.

We had Mexican last Friday night. I go for the oysters on the half shell and the Dos Equis, dark, draft. Both ice cold!

Its the staple in our house. I have not personally bought ground black pepper in 40 years.

Krystal's are OK, but I'll take a Whitey One Bite from White Castle every time. You have White Castle in south Florida? I remember there were a few many, many years ago. Then all that was left was Royal Castle. Now there are no Royal Castle's left. So, if i want a small burger in that similar mold, it has to be Krystal.

I heard that some of these raw diets contain raw meats along with raw vegetables. I even read that some people are eating raw chicken? I like raw oysters, but would have to draw the line on raw chicken.

Not exactly sure what you mean by dry packed? Processed? http://www.cookthink...packed_scallops Thanks. This is the type I buy. Ice packed and displayed on ice. I like to be able to point to the ones I want to buy.

Not exactly sure what you mean by dry packed? Processed? I cook mine very similar to your method. Except I use a little butter and olive oil. I dry mine, but I just put them between paper towels and put a bit of pressure on them by hand. Then I gently score each side very well. This helps hold the salt and pepper and gives each side a bit of bite or crispness you might say. No more than one minute per side in a hot pan and allow to rest for at least 3 minutes before serving. I use very thick sea scallops so if you have some that are not so tall, cook them less. I have no use or interest in bay scallops. They are what restaurants use to make seafood dishes look like they have a lot of seafood in them. Sea scallops are very expensive.

I have not tasted Miracle Whip since i was a kid. I think my mom bought it sometimes as it might have been on sale. To be honest, I think MW and mayo were interchangeable back then.

I like Krystal burgers. I know lots of people that like them too. Seems you either love them or hate them. I love them and wish we had a Krystal around here. I see you are in myrtle beach. We used to spend every summer vacation there when our kids were young and still at home. We have not been back in 5-6 years.
