  8. Is there any way you can tell me how to do this using basic directions? Assume I am a computer moron. I have a Macbook Pro and all of my music is either on iTunes or CDs. I would appreciate any instruction on this matter. The FLACs look easy enough to purchase on HDTracks.com they also have AIFF files which are supposedly compatible with iTunes... Sure thing. AIFF files do play in iTunes, but they take up almost twice as much space as FLACs or Apple Lossless files. Here's how you convert them (I use a Mac as well): 1. Download a free program called X Lossless Decoder. 2. Open the program and go to "Preferences" in the top menu under "XLD" next to the Apple logo. 3. On the main preferences screen, select "Apple Lossless" as your output format. 4. You'll also want to create a folder on your computer or external hard drive and set that as the output directory, also in preferences. 5. Once you have the HDTracks FLACs downloaded, go into an album's folder, select all the tracks, and drag them onto the XLD icon on the dock. They'll automatically start converting to Apple Lossless and will be saved in the folder you set as the output directory. 6. Once you have them all converted, you can import them into your iTunes library. 7. Enjoy. Hope that helps. Thank You for the tutorial. Much appreciated!

  10. Hello all....Can anyone educate us as to how these would differ from CD downloads to an iPod?? I am an audiophile to a degree and am reasonably happy with everything I currently have on my iPod, but would I be happier with the iTunes specific downloads? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  11. La Villa Strangiato and Limelight for me.
  12. Season 1 of Lost Season 2-4 of 24 Season 1-5 of Breaking Bad Best TV in History IMHO
  13. Goobs, can you photoshop something, or someone kinda, er, um, well you know, with Jann Wenner? How about a big whale dork?
  14. Wow...... amazing episode last night. Lots of good action and the ending was very unexpected. Major Spoilers Below: Merle getting his fingers bit off in the fight with the Governor who then firstly casually spit them out, and then secondly shot Merle...... and then Merle becoming a zombie, then Daryl showing up to find his Zombie brother and then having to end him, made for one hell of an excellent last 10 minutes of that episode. Bravo!!!! Season finale next week!
  15. THIS is an excellent setlist. Hope the boys see it and take notice of your suggestions.
  16. I have been a fan since I was 14. I am 48 now. In my humble opinion, this is their most consistent, overall best effort since Power Windows. The only parts that stink are the new intro to BU2B, BU2B2, and the chorus of Geddy's during Wish Them Well. The song WTW is good, but the chorus of Geddy's is painful. If they just had removed those things, this would have been a perfect album. You can't say that about any other album they have done since Power Windows. Anyone who thinks this is a weak effort just is blatantly wrong and needs to just give up listening to music altogether.
  17. Well this is the first guy that came to mind: http://cosmoradiowakeup.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/19093_andy-dick-133435l.jpg
  18. Time for a refresher course on viruses. The "flu" is a respiratory virus. It is acquired thru the air, or contact with an infected surface that someone has touched...like doorknobs, water fountains, railings, someones hand. The symptoms are severe and include fever, coryza (inflammation of the mucous membranes of the head) and conjunctivitis, but the main problem with influenza is viral pneumonia. Cough Cough Cough Cough Cough! Since the airway is assaulted with the virus, and the airway is so extensive in humans, there is an amazing amount of interferon generated by the body as a result of the viral infection. Along with that comes the flu-like symptoms people think of that includes intense fever, shaking chills, and muscle rigors. there may be nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, but the main constellation of symptoms are the former mentioned things since the flu is a respiratory virus. Influenza may be fatal in people with asthma, people who are immunosuppressed, or people who are severely run down and weak when the contract the illness. Let me be clear about this. You cannot get the flu from a flu vaccine. It is IMPOSSIBLE. The shot consists of viral parts made in a lab, or heat destroyed virus, or live inactivated virus. It is impossible to get the above illness from the shot. Remember this. There is no reason other than being allergic to the flu vaccine, to not get the vaccine. You are placing yourself and your family at risk by not getting the shot. A risk not worth taking. The GI virus you are describing above Sheldon is not the flu. It is probably norovirus, rotovirus, sapovirus or astrovirus. There are no vaccinations for this. You may have intense cramping and diarrhea, extreme nausea and vomiting, bad fever, chills, and rigors, but it is relatively short lived (bad for 12-24 hours, and another 12-24 hours may be associated with that run-over-by-a truck type of feeling. This won't kill you but you may wish you were dead! It is contagious by: eating food or drinking liquids that are contaminated with virus, touching surfaces or objects contaminated with virus then putting your fingers in your mouth, or having close contact with someone who is infected with virus (for example, caring for or sharing food or eating utensils with someone with virus illness). GI virus can spread quickly in closed places like daycare centers, nursing homes, schools, and cruise ships. Most virus outbreaks happen from November to April in the United States. Hand washing, sanitizing, Lysol, cleaning with alcohol or bleach cleaners are critical regularly with respect to both of these viruses. The "flu" virus is spread via respiratory fashion and is much more difficult to control than GI viruses which usually require direct contact. People spread the flu by breathing on people, or coughing into ones hand and touching anything. GI viruses have to come from mouth or stool to ones hand and onto food or ice or drink or surfaces that would be touched by people who then put their fingers in their mouths. Public restrooms are a big problem with GI viruses as are those that handle others' laundry. The virus may be shed in the stool days after a person feels well. So remember to keep hand sanitizer with you at all times from November to April. Chances are someone touched a door somewhere within a day or two after they got over vomiting and diarrhea. Be healthy!
  19. Same to all of you. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Festivus!
  20. It needs to be an epic musician, someone in the RRHOF that does the inducting. Someone that can testify as to their influence on them or their skill. I hope Halper makes an appearance, or Corgan or Black, but I would love to see someone legendary say words about the band.
  21. I would literally disintegrate in front of my TV. Like that dude at the end of Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Just melt, right there. It would be messy.
