    Stewart Copeland

Copeland is a bit of a stuck up, egomaniacal guy. He never smoothly meets anyone in the middle. Watch some video of he and Sting going at it. It's like watching two cocks in the cockfighting ring.

"These flies are known to lay eggs in cadaver tissue in the wild within hours after death." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_bottle_fly A little more: "The developmental stage of their larvae in the cadaver can be used to accurately predict the time death occurred." you should go check on your neighbors. Maybe a dead animal in the wall or basement or attic? Have you looked under your bed? Are you missing any pets?
  3. Big flies? Little flies? What do they look like? Normal house flies or different?

If you're talking about tough guy attitude, I would say Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson and LEE VAN CLEEF! I dunno.... Jean Claude...maybe a good kicker, but not so tough in my mind.

  13. I firmly believe I would have liked the album more if they hadn't changed the opening of BU2B (the voice sounds not so good, and the guitars tinty, not full and thick sounding like Halo Effect---prob because of The Mobile Lerxst unit being so different from the studio) and if maybe there was a bit of effect or reverb or echo on Ged's voice on BU2B2 or if they had substituted an instrumental for BU2B2. Other than that I love the album to death...
  14. I do not mind whatsoever the posts like above. What I hate is the made up stuff.

    BU2B2

QUOTE (SlyJeff @ Jul 12 2012, 06:40 AM) Well, I don't think of it as a "song" so much, but it is an important piece of the puzzle that is CA for sure. I wouldn't ever put it on in isolation, though. Here's what I said about it in a recent thread: To me the lyrics of BU2B2 are crucial to the overall tone of the album and sets up for WTW perfectly. The whole idea of looking back on a misleading, false faith that was sold to him and saying regardless he still chooses life- this is a HUGE moment. For me it's really personally relevant: I just went through the biggest struggle of my life, and in order to survive I had to oppose the teaching and views of the religious leadership I trusted for years. I did not renounce my faith, but I did have to walk away from my church and most of my friends- it was hard and painful, but in the end I had to choose life. This album just gets to me because I feel like the entire thing is a metaphore for that experience, and BU2B2 is that moment I was laying on my bed, hardly able to move because I was too broken and emotionally shattered. And I said "I'm done,- this isn't working. I choose life". That moment set up the drive to get up, get in gear, wish them well, and move on. The thing is, I don't see BU2B2 as that dark- I see it as the emerging out of pain.
  17. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Jul 11 2012, 07:34 AM) Let me get this straight. This rather shocking thing happened to you - a store employee destroyed your purchase and called you a piece of shit - and you didn't even tell the manager that chased you out of the store thinking you stole 2 doughnuts? Surely that kind of employee insubordination calls for some kind of action on the part of the wronged customer. Perhaps that's why this guy is still employed... I find that really hard to understand, personally, aside from the really dramatic nature of the event itself. Hell yeah. I would go back to the store and speak to the manager, and even more so, I might call the manager on the phone and ask to get the owner's number as well. I would have that mofo's job.
  18. The only one that really has 0:00 is The Pedlar ii.....
  19. I find them individually talented with respect to their instruments, but collectively unlistenable. I guarantee that the person who signed them to their recording contract has not heard the ripoffs we obvious know about. If this is album is indeed released, I would say that Rush is entitled to some money.
  20. QUOTE (tel @ Jul 2 2012, 12:49 PM) QUOTE (DBJetsman @ Jun 22 2012, 07:46 PM) QUOTE (tel @ Jun 22 2012, 11:17 AM)Keith moon is vastly overated. once again the hype and the legend outweigh the the talent. Keith moon was all animation with little of any substance to back it up. sure he was one of rocks great characters but imo not a great drummer. 100% correct. Might as well be Animal from the Muppets playing. Jesus Christ the man was so effing drugged out at the Cow Palace performance (check youTube) that The Who called up a guy out of the audience to sit in with the band. Pretty much no one could do that with Neil, or Gavin, or Portnoy, or Palmer, or many of the other names mentioned... I am a mediocre drummer and I could play most of The Who's catalog. Now I might not do it with the maniacal flair of Keith Moon, but hey it would sound good. I give Keith kudos for his incredible showmanship, and influence. A lot of guys loved his performances and that attracted them to the instrument and passion for hard hitting, hard rock performance. Few guys were as fun to watch as Keith, but it wasn't for his ability, it was for his "performance"... Sorry, if anyone disagrees, but it's the truth.
  21. Yes...It is a Leslie Amp he's using on this tune. He should be able to pull it off live if he has a way to step on a foot switch that would activate a Leslie cabinet. He usually has that ability on stage with a clean amp, a distortion amp, and an effects amp, so maybe he will add a fourth. What I am not sure of is how he will pull of Clockwork Angels, since there are multiple guitar parts going on at the same time...maybe he will drop parts out? He dropped some parts out on Snakes and Arrows...
  22. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jul 6 2012, 11:31 AM) First off I would never try to 'force' my wife into liking something just because I enjoy it. Nothing wrong with different tastes etc. That being said, unless she was joking around, it doesn't sound to me like your wife is very respectful of the things you enjoy. How would she feel if she was watching her favorite TV show or something and you asked her "How you you stand watching this crap?" Same sort of respect-disconnect? Well that applies to everything but . You need to give her some of there:http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/fighting/face-slap.gifso she wakes the eff up!
