  1. I was at this gig. I was there too. You could see how pissed he was but of course held himself together. For some reason I felt the band felt tense and forced for the first set. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me. However, I doubt Rush mistakes or glitches would even be noticed at others' concerts. It's no wonder he was pissed since they were filming that show.
  2. I liked this one. There's a certain elegant visual aesthetic to the Prometheus movies, that the earlier Alien movies lacked. A more complete use of Giger's world, not just the alien itself, but all the world around it. I fully agree!!! I really liked this one, it's much better than Prometheus. Covenant still hasn't arrived here. I'll probably watch it (no thanks to Prometheus). I liked the first hour or so of Prometheus but it got worse and worse the closer it got to the end. Especially the last half hour was a big let down. I thought this movie was extremely boring. It's also one of those movies where you yell at the screen because the characters are so stupid. Also the baby alien was hilarious. Yeah? So far the Alien series has gotten worse and worse. I'd grade them like this... Alien: A+ Aliens: A Alien 3: C Alien Resurrection: D Prometheus: F !!! Covenant: (tbd) I pretty much agree with this except I would give Aliens an A+. What would you give Covenant? D-
  3. Happy Birthday, Neil.
  4. I like everything up to 1984 but I didn't appreciate those vocal harmonies until years later. And though I'm not a big Van Hagar fan, Michaels did well on those background vocals too. I always wondered why Michael never did lead vocals. He has a great voice.

  7. I knew when Running With the Devil came out they were going to be special. The music at the time was all these little wimpy guitars, like Dire Straits and The Cars. Eddie was the opposite end of the spectrum and put some balls back into rock. So yes, Eddie was the reason I listened to them to start with.
  8. Maybe another Signals thread was done in the past... :P Gee, ya think maybe? ;)
  9. Both are great songs but my vote goes to Comfortably Numb on the guitar solo alone.
  10. That's awesome! I'm glad it went well. Thanks! It did, as I was the only Girl drummer in the show, but I wish I got more songs, everyone else got harder songs than me and more songs than I did, I wanted to be challenged this season but I did not feel that much :( :( Yeah but you got to do the show. Be happy about that. :)
  11. Digital Man. I thought I responded to this thread but I guess not.
  12. We had some pretty heavy storms come through last night. Quite a few roadways were flooded. But we needed the rain. Temperatures have dropped into the 90s which is nice.
  13. Freddie was one of the best front men rock has ever had. He had buckets of charisma. Brian is well known for being one of the very best rock guitarists ever but with Freddie on stage it's hard to look at anything else.
  14. That's awesome! I'm glad it went well.
  15. Get the remix. They cleaned it up as much as they could but the original tracks were way oversaturated. It's really a crime the way they hiked up the bass drum so far in the mix. It's particularly annoying in Ceiling Unlimited and One Little Victory. Like somebody slapping you upside the head with a bass pedal.
  16. I have several friends that live in Florida and some of them have evacuated and some of them not. I just pray that it doesn't become as devastating as the weather channels make it sound like it could be.
  17. Most Rush fans love it and think it's their best? Not by a loooooong shot.
  18. HYF is about as MOR as Rush ever got.
  19. MPs and PWs. Any of the songs on either of these albums could be on the other.
  20. I think disc one and two are really good. Disc three is good but the delayed vocals that he does quite a bit during this concert kind of annoy me. Remember reading about him having a cold or something when they recorded this.
  21. I think they both have had some good shows and have a lot of good talented people on but I don't really care for either one.
  22. Good luck! I know you'll do really well.
