  1. My point exactly, if that was what Rush had finished up with, and then you found Entre Nous, you would have a fit. What would you leave in that I took out on GUP, HYF and CP, LosingIt?
  2. I am also well aware I just made this all about me!
  3. This statement is complete off. The Only Album that can be compared to their late 70's and early 80's endeavor has been Clockwork Angels and that was a shorter album. No Other album can even come close. Yes Every album in that era had good and even some great tracks on them but the entire album would not remain consistent throughout. Even Counterpart, their strongest effort in that era still held tracks like Speed of Love and Everyday Glory which IMO I could just do without. :codger: But that assumes they'd leave off the songs you didn't think were great. Geddy would have left off Tai Shan, perhaps my favorite off what I consider one of their weakest albums. Many here would leave off Dog Years, Ghost Rider, Heresy, Bravado, or RTB, but I love those songs. I agree with you there, LedRush. It assumes that the tracks we don't like are left off. If this had have been Rush's focus in the recoding process of CA, who's to say that we would have Headlong Flight, or The Garden? Just because someone doesn't like the song is not a reason to have a shortened "more focused" album. To illustrate my point, I'll let you guys go to war over my list of songs by album. 4. So, does that mean one of the movements in Natural Science would have been Magnetic Air? Or was this before they scrapped Green Knight or whatever it was called
  5. Hey, does Rush do pre-orders on this sort of stuff and will they send it to Western Australia?
  6. A Show of Hands is awesome, but I still love the later stuff
  7. Can someone please tell me each reference?
  8. There exists such a remix? Post it?
  9. Well, it will certainly buy one new fan. I've enjoyed the better mixed love versions, as well as the Retrospective remixes. But the rest of the album I can't listen to.... It hurts my ears a little from the (for lack of a better word, I really don't mean it but I don't have a bett word) bad mixing. But now, I will finally be able to enjoy this album. SWEET MIRACLE, this is not just ONE LITTLE VICTORY. HOW IT KS, compared to how it was, may make me FREEZE with excitement. Perhaps a couple more of the songs will be let OUT OF THE CRADLE and see the lighted stage!
  10. Was going to individually buy every album. Now I don't need to. I'll just buy that box with everything in it!
  11. Guys, someone needs to make a new thread and get it pinned, people need to see this. I can't wait to share this new wonder, oh the people will all see it's light, let them all hear this great music, I praise the rush name in this night! (This is accurate, I live in Western Australia)
  12. Sorry,Jaminbenb did I post something that had already been discussed, or were you just backing up what I said?
  13. Guys, announced by Rush.... It's being released on September 30th/Lctober 1st along with a 7 disc box set with everything post Hold Your Fire (minus the live albums, but including Feedback)! This remixed edition is in that box set, plus available on LP and Digital Download!!! HELL YEAH!!!
  14. Oh, King Crimsona. Now I know him. See, when someone says the name of such and such, then I get it. You see, I'm pretty dumb. Evidence? Look at my last couple of threads.....yeah, I'm pretty dumb
  15. I get that completely. I don't know who Robert Fripp is. I do see what you did there
  16. Oh, I had no idea that Geddy obsessed over such things, although he, of all people, should realise that releasing the live recordings would make millions of old school fans happy, seeing as though they were in the crowds at those tours
  17. Oh, good point. I didn't quite think of that. Don't apologise for Jumpng Down my throat Coventry, it's the only way I learn, so I should in fact thank you. Perhaps have the streaming people updated on he set, istand if it's a little bit different, stream it and add it to the site. If it was only done for the few different shows, that would possible defeat an offset of ticket sales. If that isn't enough, take it off after 2 weeks. Then it couldn't be watched until the first show of the next leg, 2 weeks after that leg starts, it's gone
  18. Yeah, I was a bit aggro this morning. The live show aspect I can see - in this day and age, most bands have or can arrange multiple camera set-ups at shows far in advance and then either stream the concerts or offer them for sale on dvd or via mp3, etc. But the whole altering the catalog idea is crap. Other than as a money-maker - which it would be quickly seen as - what purpose does it accomplish? First off, thanks for the support ShlappinDahBass. And Coventry, I do believe you may be right, I did violate their creativity. I'm saying things maybe I shouldn't have. Still, please bare with me. I was quite dizzy and my mind was somewhere else, as I just had a Collagen Cross-Linking operation. I think that we should completely disregard that top bit as an act of craziness, but the other half remains as a valid point. But still, I would love the LiveRush site idea to become more than a crazy idea in my head. I think they could utilise a site like YouTube to make their own website dedicated to capturing a live performance. Maybe not every night, but a few times a tour. Then the Rush crew may manage to extract the audio from the show and offer it as a live album. (Maybe, if they aren't open to absolutely everyone who wants a copy of a show to have it for a set amount of money, they can offer them at the door of the venue?)
  19. It might make a great addition to be found in a Clockwork Angels live box set
  20. Got it today, and I have to say that from opening the box to the end of Xanadu on ESL that this was definitely a great choice in Birthday Present, just photocopied the crossword and finished that, too. Shame there wasn't any in the others. Guess I'll have to make up a custom one for myself to do
