  1. QUOTE (Pound of Obscure @ Jul 19 2012, 11:02 AM) The so-called audiophile experts on this site don't know the difference between analogy and digital. Analogy? Really? Analog and analogy have nothing to do with one another.
  2. QUOTE (treeduck @ Sep 8 2012, 10:40 AM) And do they always reach for Bravado? Where's My Thing? Boooring! "Where's My Thing" hasn't been played since Roll The Bones tour.
  3. First set rocks. Two much CA in a row on second set. Dissapointed about no Losing It.
  4. Hey Ed, I want the tickets. I've been waiting to buy to hopefully get good seats. These look like good seats to me. email is thomasmuff@yahoo.com. -Tom
  5. I grew up with that poster! First my older brother had it. He won it at the dutchess county fair in the early '80's. Then it was on my wall through high school. It's a shot from the hemispheres tour. This brings back such great memories. Thank you!!
  6. La Villa is probably my go to on this one. However I would like to see where's my thing played some more. I've been seeing them live since counterparts and don't believe it's been played once since RTB.
  7. i feel like i'm in a bad dream. i do not like CA at all!!!!!? it is just not good to me. in any way.
  8. I've given CA a good twenty listens by now. This is how I would rank it. 1.Caravan 2. BU2B 13. Everything Else!
  9. To me Cold Fire is the better song. Always found it catchy and placed properly on that album. Its a great 10th track
  10. By the way. I happen to be a big fan of "the larger bowl". JMO I see that song doesn't seem to be a favorite.
  11. QUOTE (Tick @ Aug 23 2012, 03:27 PM) QUOTE (Gompers @ Aug 23 2012, 01:15 PM) QUOTE (tommyali @ Aug 23 2012, 12:47 PM) you are right, sorry. no need to imply the "brainwashing". I'm just surprised how many people are bashing S&A. We are Rush fans right? I never bashed CA. I really think that S&A is better. Mix, by far. CA is muddy. IMO. I can honestly say I am disappointed as a whole. Just listened to S&A again. What a beautiful album! Let 'em bash S&A. Chances are they liked VT quite a bit too. I like the musical maturity of S&A, where CA seems like the band trying to be 20 again, which would work great if they were 20. With S&A, they branched out as the musicians they are, got outside the box, like they have always been known for. Many songs sound like new Rush. They used themselves for most of the album to find something different and creative. With CA, they had Nick cheer-leading them to sound like the old days, and then he messed up the mix. CA has some great songs, like the title track and Headlong Flight, but from a dynamic perspective, the wall of sound encumbers those subtle things Rush has done so well in the past. It should be evident to Nick now that Rush is not Foo Fighters. You both need to understand that not liking something isn't bashing it. I'm not a fan of Snakes And Arrows. Would you like me to say otherwise to make you both happy? Hey, no-one was implying you. But if you read this entire post, there has been some S&A bashing indeed. Cheers!

  13. Thank you Gompers!! I have some supporters after all. Rock On!
  14. Sorry. I'm not drinking the cool-aid. S&A is just a smarter, stronger, more sensible, well structured album. CA has tracks that are long, almost just for the sake of being long. It could be heavily edited, and maybe I would feel different. Glad to be here!! It's just great to discuss Rush with Rush lovers
  15. Pound of Obscure No grey area there! I can't say there are any Rush albums I would call an abomination. I probably wouldn't even be here if I felt that way.
  16. Well thanks for the warm welcome guys! I was afraid I was gonna piss some people off. Bluefox4000, I agree with your feelings on S&A completely. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  17. Am I the only one on the planet? Too me, Snakes and Arrows is just a better album from start to finish. A beautiful album. I would put it in my top three all time Rush albums. Don't get me wrong, Clockwork rocks. And at times rocks even harder than S&A. I mean, there's some pretty intense playing on it. But sometimes it seems to go a little too long. It drags. And some songs I'm just not crazy about. And I am a huge Rush fan, I've never disliked anything. But this one seems to have a little more bark than bite.
