  1. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Sep 24 2012, 05:28 AM) Am I the only one who thinks these kind of things are grossly unfair? I guess if you win a contest that's cool, but mostly it seems you have to know someone who gets you in. I wouldn't want to take away anyone's happiness or great experience, but it kind of sucks for everyone else. No. You're not.
  2. Unfortunately, I don't have many friends into rock music (or many friends, period), so I almost always end up going to concerts alone. No biggie, though. As a matter of fact, I'm going to the Cleveland show by myself, but I'll still enjoy the show.
  3. QUOTE (jonnyj @ Sep 21 2012, 10:15 AM) I ordered the white CA shirt a couple of days after the DC show from the Live Nation store because I like the design on it the best and the Rush store sold out . The Live Nation said InStock so Imordered one and later that day they told me they were temporarily out of stock on it andit would be two to three weeks until they had them back. It will bebtwo weeks this Tuesday. We'll see Yeah... good luck with that... livenation store... *chuckle*. Sorry, they just haven't been too good with me in the past. Although, due to their incompetence, I did get a free KISS hoodie jacket.

    Signals

Subdivisions was he song that turned me into a Rush fan in the first place and for a long time, Signals was my favorite Rush album. I even have the poster of that album on my wall... even if it's just a dog smelling a fire hydrant. lol
  5. QUOTE (MCM @ Sep 18 2012, 09:06 PM)QUOTE (TheWK90 @ Sep 18 2012, 08:01 PM) QUOTE (rayrushray @ Sep 18 2012, 04:17 PM) Bring the real Rush next time you come back to Pittsburgh. Then who was that band on stage kicking my ass all night? Exactly. I was at this show that the OP seems to think was so awful. I've not seen Rush 70billion times like some, but I've seen them enough to know that this show DID NOT SUCK! Hmm... I was at that show, too (hey we're both from Pittsburgh!!!), and it was awesome!!! That is why I was confused by the OP's statement. Guess all we can do is wish him well.
  6. QUOTE (rayrushray @ Sep 18 2012, 04:17 PM) Bring the real Rush next time you come back to Pittsburgh. Then who was that band on stage kicking my ass all night? QUOTE the word i wrote got edited to "brotha" by the board LOL Yeah, these filters are pretty funny!!!
  7. I saw Rush for only the second time on the 11th and I LOVED the setlist!!! I didn't check out the setlist prior to the show either and was pleasantly surprised to see that the song that turned me into a Rush fan in the first place, Subdivisions, opened up the night. And after that BIG f***ing MONEY, and jumped straight into Force Ten. See, the thing is that although I like pretty much all of the Rush albums in their own way, I absolutely love everything Signals to Counterparts. So this was like a wet dream for me... except it was real for a change . I thought that I'd never get to hear a lot of those songs (I'm 21). And as much as people are bitching about the setlist, and I understand why, I really couldn't care less that they didn't play a lot of 70s stuff. I'm glad they didn't. The more I listen to Clockwork Angels, the more I like it and I love the fact that Rush have the balls to play the majority of it, instead of "Oh, um, this is a new song from our latest release and... well... we hope you like it.". NO, f**k THAT!!! I've been going to concerts (in general, not just Rush) since 2008 and a lot of what I've been seeing are package tours and/or greatest hits setlist with, at most, 1 or 2 new songs... that is from bands that haven't succumbed to the mindset that putting new albums are pointless because the "casual fans" won't care. Somebody has to say it: f**k THE CASUALS!!! I'm so damn tired of not being to hear Motley Crue play "Save our Souls," Poison play "Valley of Lost Souls," Kiss play ANYTHING from Hot In The Shade, etc. because of the "casuals." But this time around, Rush has my back and in this age of a lot of "classic rock" bands becomin nostalgia acts and playing the same sets *coughPoisoncough*, Rush gains a ton of respect points from me for playing more CA songs and having the balls to leave out TSoR (in Pittsburgh, at least). In short, I LOVE THE SETLIST. Oh, I already said that.
  8. I bought my ticket through VIP Nation during the presale in which I needed a code. Finished my order in a little over 2 minutes and got front row for Pittsburgh. Right in front of Alex!!!
  9. QUOTE (Alchemical @ Aug 28 2012, 08:24 PM) God, I would love it if they played The Weapon and Losing It So would I!!! I remember hearing The Weapon on the P/G Tour CD and I got goosebumps. I'd love to actually BE THERE to hear 'em play it, but we shall see.
  10. QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Aug 22 2012, 09:13 PM)I'll come here until we get members who don;t know who those people in my sig are. Then, I'm out. To be honest, I couldn't name a single one of those people.
  11. I was born in 1990... but was conceived in '89, so I went with Presto. Favorite song from that album is "War Paint.". Can't get enough of that song.
  12. I admit, I was 3/4 through the OP before I realized this was bullshit . DAMNIT!!!
  13. The CD with a cd player, and then put it on my iphone. Sounds amazing if you ask me. Oh yeah, and skullcandy earbuds.
  14. I let out a tear or two when I listened to Middletown Dreams. "The office door closed early The hidden bottle came out The salesman turned to close the blinds A little slow now, a little stout But he's still heading down those tracks Any day now for sure Another day as drab as today Is more than a man can endure Dreams flow across the heartland Feeding on the fires Dreams transport desires Drive you when you're down -- Dreams transport the ones who need to get out of town"
  15. I voted for Animate, but I could live with Nobody's Hero or Cold Fire... actually I could live with a lot of stuff from Counterparts
