An excellent read--very compelling, sad. Fortunately, through it I got to know what John was really like as I always kind of brushed him off as a musician/person. This blog completely shatters that naive thought. A truly wonderful human he was. Thanks for sharing.

Subdivisions. This song came out perfectly as I was just about to start my freshman year in high school. Of course, the lyrics spoke loudly to me and it helped get past the insecurities of starting anew. Even wrote the lyrics on one of my school book's cover (we had the option of covering the books, so I just wrapped it in brown paper bag) for inspiration.

To this day, TS (the studio version) still rips! Besides this song was what turned me onto , and MP the album that changed my life (soo dramatic!)!

NS This was tough. Too bad you can't go 1a, 1aa, 1aaa, etc.

LVS--their best instrumental still, IMHO!

I've never been there but will be April 6th (of course). From what I heard, it's a small, intimate arena with nary a bad seat in the house. So all sightlines should be good no matter where you are. Unless you get stuck behind some tall 6'6" sap who's stands throughout the show (which happned to me Columbus last year! )

Went with Afterimage, with The Body Electric very close. A great album overall!
