Can never not think of the phone cops episode. "The real cops are in on it."

on my list. Watching Swan Song right now. After a day and thinking about it a lot, I'm not too sure how to take this movie. Let me know what you think when you get around to watching it. Watched it last night. It's thought provoking. Interesting satire on a number of things. Warming ending scene. I keep seeing it compared to the prophetic Idiocracy a lot in how it is frighteningly like real life. It's all downhill for the series after this one. 1st two are classics. Prometheus and Covenent were better than the last two Ripley ones but it's not saying much. I didn't even bother with the PG13 Alien/Predator. It flips the coin on a lot of subjects. Reveals a lot of hypocrisy in a superficial society. It's good enough to watch again and I think I will.

Saw Matrix Resurrection today. A little draggy at times. They had a lot to explain for what I'm sure is the next installment. Incredible F/Xs in a scene that combined real time and slow motion.

Watched Darkest Hour the other day. Possibly the most convincing performance of a historical figure I've ever seen.

I could say the same for this..... http://youtu.be/MC64gKvh5R8 Is the new show any good? No idea. I liked the original tho wasn't must watch TV for me back in the day. But that theme song........... It did have a great theme song. With the film work, in the running for top opening credit sequence. The shots of the hula girls hips didn't hurt that.

I liked the remake also.

Plus it had one of the coolest theme songs ever.

'75-’82 Barney Miller was a smart show. Definitely stands the test of time as it was written reasonably close to real life. Excellent acting from a large cast of regulars and guests that could deliver the sting of life's troubles along with it's hilarious irony. Remember watching the first run final episode and saying, "That was a good show."

Quentin Tarantino is making a Star Trek movie
Inthend replied to JohnnyBlaze's topic in Video Vertigo
As a stand-alone feature in the Trek universe it could prove interesting but this is NOT a fix for Star Trek. The thrill of being explorers, discovery and hard decisions of encountering new life forms is what we need. Tarantino's insisting on an R-rating proves that he should never be involved with any Star Trek production. The very essence of Star Trek is the progress of Humanity - personal and societal improvement and exploration as well as the renouncement of our primitive desires. Tarantino would have the crew of the Enterprise be the exact opposite. When you have eliminated all other possibilities what you have left is to get medieval on their ass. -
The Last Jedi Reaction thread [SPOILERS galore!]
Inthend replied to JohnnyBlaze's topic in Video Vertigo
Saw it tonight. I gave it a solid B. I would rank it 4th or 5th best In the series. The plot is darkest we'll see. It's The rebellions and the Jedis darkest hour. They Tried To lighten it up as much they could Sometimes it seemed forced, but some felt natural like the scene with Chewbacca around the fire and those little Things whatever they were begging for his food and Chewy showed them no pity. lol Rogue one is probably my favorite. So many courageous gritty heroes and a inspiring heroin which were played perfectly by the actors. I thought Kylo ren was done better than before and Ray did a great job again. I was surprized by Lukes teleporting abilities and thought was smart. Saw it 3d and it was very cool at times. That star destroyer seemed to fly over our heads. And those bombs were magnetized btw. -

The Confirmation (2016) starring Clive Owen and the young Jaeden Lieberher with cameos by Patton Oswalt and Matthew Modine. A simple tale told very well imo. A reassuring film to watch when lifes getting you down.
