  1. Every single bond film. The good the bad and the ugly is epic. Clockwork Orange Eraser head
  2. If the music was even crazier and more fast-paced and a little more raw, more odd times and extended stuff, lalalalalala...then young Geddy, but old Geddy is great for this.
  3. Bravado, extended version is my favorite song ever.
  4. Why this whole album is metal, Is pure metal all the way ain't they? With such metal songs like Tears (that come out of the people I kill), Closer to the Heart (after being stabbed), Different Strings (from hell), Red Lenses (of Death), Middletown Dreams (will be destroyed), Second Nature (of the Beast), Available Light (is gone), Devil Years, and now The Garden (of Satan), are clearly metal, and that said, I vote for Carnies (from Hell!)
  5. Clockwork Angels BU2B The Wreckers the Garden
  6. QUOTE (Roddy @ Feb 15 2007, 10:30 PM) From what I've heard, which is everything DT have done, and a fair amount of PT now, I reckon Mike could outplay PT's drummer with one arm and one leg tied behind his back. And DT make PT sound like nothing whatsoever. No contest at all either way, IMO.... ...ummm Gavin...according to drummers and actually musicians...can actually run circles around portnoy. But in PT he never demonstrates his full potential.
  7. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jun 29 2012, 09:58 PM) I got it for Christmas last year. Its much better than the original. Seriously, this. It sounds much more surreal, which is odd, because normally older recordings are the more surreal sounding ones. But SW has a knack for making surreal stuff
  8. Been crazy busy, but I HAVE NOT forgotten this. Too many good songs to stop. I'll get back soon, but I'm working 52 hours a week and when I'm not I'm studying, reading, playing/recording with the band, or exercising. Oh, and occasionally sleeping.
  9. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Jun 20 2012, 07:54 PM) Currently, I'm listening to Van Der Graaf Generator's Pawn Hearts. "Man-Erg" is my favorite song off the album. I don't listen to VdGG often because they seriously depress me, but when I do, it's the most beautiful music...scratch that...adventure I could possibly embark on. And Man-Erg happens to be the most beautiful adventure on their most adventurous album.
  10. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jun 20 2012, 06:50 PM) QUOTE (t2s @ Jun 20 2012, 07:34 PM) Devil Doll - Dies Irae, Sacrilegium, The Girl Who Was Death, Eliogabalus, The Sacrilege of Fatal Arms 5uu's - Hunger's Teeth X-Legged Sally - Land of Giant Dwarfs I checked some samples for those 3 bands. Weird stuff! I liked Devil Doll the most. I'm going to listen to a couple of songs tonight and probably pick up an album. Devil Doll is great

Thanks for the list. The only ones that I have from there are Caravan, Mars Volta, Return to Forever, and Weather Report. I'm especially interested in checking out the Devin Townsend albums, Animals as Leaders, Popol Vuh, Cynic, and Agalloch. What a coincidence, those five are the ones I would've chosen, but now that I've listened to them I can definitely say Especially Popol Vuh. Agalloch however I've only heard very little but worth more. Get absolutely everything by Pain of Salvation, too. Scarsick is their weakest effort.
  12. QUOTE (Ovningskora @ Jun 20 2012, 09:50 PM) Nate... Stay strong. And some stories are better left for private. Hmm, definitely don't bottle up emotions, but don't go on the Internet expecting the best responses ever... That said, I'm glad you're okay. I had my fair share of depressing moments but never went to far into depression. Music is a big part of what makes me happy now even though now I'm just generally happy. Glad music saved your life.
  13. My favorite thing on the album and apparently my fourth favorite thing they have EVER done is 1:08 on Clockwork Angels. First: Extended Outro on Bravado-Different Stages Second: A Lerxt in Wonderland Third: Limelight Solo Fourth: 1:08 of Clockwork Angels Fifth: Time Stand Still Chorus Sixth: Hemispheres "I bring truth and..." Seventh: Prime Mover when it quiets down and gets electronic Eighth: Last Verse of Sweet Miracle Ninth: 7/8 in Natural Science Tenth: Losing It second verse.
  14. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Jun 12 2012, 03:57 PM) QUOTE (Good @ bad, andrush,Jun 12 2012, 01:53 PM) Man, I need to listen to it again but seriously, I love Thanks for still going strong. The title track is my current fan, especially about a minute 10 seconds in. That sounds so surreal and creative. The Wreckers is beautiful and the lyrics in the chorus are goosebumps inducing. And the Garden is beautiful too. What a f***ing great band, a great career. This concept album seems to reflect the story of themselves, which just makes it all the more powerful. wow the title track is your fan? that awesome! Favorite, stupid iPad

  16. One of my favorite writers, this hurts.
  17. I don't know how to listen to leaks... It's killing me. My drummer does that stuff for me and he's out of town....
  18. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jun 3 2012, 08:40 PM) Congrats!! I'm not too crazy about the samples either. The Wreckers and The Garden sound great and Wish Them Well is catchy as hell but the others haven't really done much for me. I hope these are just bad representations of the album. I like Caravan, BU2B, and Headlong Flight so there will be at least 5 great songs. You and I are clones man, I feel the exact same way. I hope there's still some great surprises. I love the wreckers though
  19. What a waste of time, I could've been listening to these new samples. Spent the last 3 or so days getting ready for the ceremony and what not. lalalalala. Hmmm, don't know what to think of the samples though. I do like BU2B a lot and judging by samples alone, that'd be my favorite song on the album. I hope there are more surprises on the album, because the samples left me kinda bland.
