  1. Xanadu The Pass Prime Mover Add Earthshine as the bonus.
  2. I was waffling between Permanent Waves and Presto...but went with Presto. It is just AMAZING when performed live.
  3. When you are reading From the Earth to the Moon and you start singing "Countdown".
  4. Either The Voyage or The Camera Eye. Too long for me. But I do LOVE Xanadu, on the other hand. It is my 3rd favorite Rush song.
  5. Visit Antarctica: Neil Take up curling: Neil Play the accordion: Geddy Drink whole milk: Alex Most likely to: - Be remotely good with etiquette: - Exercise every single day: - Edit TV Tropes: - Want to play the Imperial March next concert:
  6. I cannot believe The Pass was eliminated. I mean, isn't The Pass Rush's favorite song as a band?
  7. At first, I thought Closer to the Heart was sung by a woman. But by the time of Freewill and Spirit of Radio, he sounded more like a man- albeit one with a very high tenor voice.
  8. I like Bastille Day. It is my favorite from CoS. But that could be because I am a big Rose of Versailles buff.
  9. So contrary to popular opinion, the boys of Rush are NOT atheists. At the very least, they are agnostic. On a good day, they may even be Deists. And Deists can come from any religious tradition they were raised in. I was raised Roman Catholic by a VERY devout family- but I cannot deal with all the guilt, rituals, guilt, some rules that make no sense, guilt, its not being our choice (the Spanish Inquisition forced it upon the ancestors), and did I mention guilt? Atheism is way too pessimistic and negative for me. Deism is much more optimistic.
  10. My excuse for staying home tonight? - Was out of town a good part of the day visiting a friend I had not seen in a couple years. - Waiting for someone to come and pick up my old aquarium thanks to Freecycle. - Went to the gym, planted a new herb garden, and set up the new aquarium earlier today. - Gotta work tomorrow early- not to mention go to Body Flow before work.
  11. I put finding money. But overall what do I love the most? SUCCESS!!!
  12. Specifically, what spiritual beliefs- if any- do the Rush band members have? While many of their songs do protest organized religion and other related concepts (such as superstition, astrology, or predestination)- the truth is that none of their songs seems downright denying the existence of a higher power. In fact, Prime Mover seems to indicate that there is one- albeit one that gives the humans autonomy. So what are their spiritualities? I am not talking about what religion they were raised in or what holidays they celebrate. I am talking about what they believe spiritually.
  13. Answer your 18,000,000,000 Rush emails giving them setlist suggestions: Alex seems to have the most patience of the trio. See the most Shows: Geddy Watch their own DVDs: Neil Collapse on stage one night because of to much : None- wrong band. Most likely to: Go to the shelter and adopt a mutt: Show up at a neighbor's party asking for beer: Watch super robot mecha anime: Get braces on his teeth:
  14. QUOTE (cyberpunk bee @ May 27 2011, 03:44 AM) i wonder how an individual rush fans personality type would compare to the personality type of their favorite songs! hmmm..... Well, I am a 3w4. I do love the ones that are 3s. But my favorite I typed as 1- though YMMV.
  15. Surprise day off. Did Body Attack this morning. Will do Body Combat later today.
  16. QUOTE (Scars @ May 25 2011, 03:49 PM) I think (?) I get it. This site lists the 9 types (each type corresponding with a number). The songs listed fall under a certain type (due to the message/lyrics of the song). If that's correct, then I think it's a very interesting (and unique) analysis of the songs I sure did! You are correct. As I said before, Type 2 in the Enneagram would be the hardest one for Rush songs to be in. Kenneth and Tommy- what would you place in each type then?
  17. All 3 members are iNtuitive Thinkers and thus the band and its songs are iNtuitive Thinkers. So I will just do the Enneagram types of the songs. 1 - Mission - Freewill 2 (hard because iNtuitive Thinkers can NOT be 2's on the Enneagram) - Entre Nous - The Pass 3 - Limelight - Marathon - The Spirit of Radio 4 - Closer to the Heart - 2112 5 (A LOT of their songs are 5, since Neil is 5w6) - Natural Science - Earthshine - Countdown 6 - The Fear Cycle (The Enemy Within, The Weapon, Witch Hunt, Freeze) - Red Sector A 7 - Red Barchetta - Roll The Bones 8 - Stick it Out - Driven (possibly, arguably) 9 (again, many Rush songs are 9w1) - Xanadu - Time Stand Still More examples, please!!!
  18. Insist on recycling: Geddy Take a regiment of supplements/vitamins: Neil Wear a shirt for years until it was falling apart: Neil Put ketchup on their hashbrowns and eggs: Alex Most likely to: Watch Nickelodeon often: Like Harry Potter: Have a pet rat: Like Tom Sawyer best:
  19. Go without shaving when on holiday: Neil Play-wrestle with a child/grandchild: Alex Regularly look through family photo albums: Neil Enjoy Broadway shows: Geddy Most likely to: Drink a different tea flavor every day: Like spicy foods: Watch The Price is Right regularly: Prefer a Walkman to an iPod:
  20. Wear Rush swag from time to time: Geddy- particularly Rash ones Have a treadmill in their house: Neil Leave the toilet seat up: Alex, though not on purpose Sit at a bar and drink with a stranger: Alex Most likely to: Be a Harry Potter fan: Prefer yogurt other ice cream: Read true crime books: Like Chihuahuas:
  21. You forgot Feedback. In this case it SHOULD count. It is a studio album after all.
  22. I wish. I want the Limelight intro. How do I get one? Do they work for a Katana II purchased in 2007?
  23. The Pass wins. Animate and Caravan are pretty good. I have not been able to get into Dreamline or Bravado for some reason.
  24. Big Money is SO 80's!!!!! It has all the elements of an 80s music video. Back when MTV still played music videos. All the Atari arcade glory. All the synthesizer. All the clothes. Ah, the memories. But it still fits the lyrics. Which Time Stand Still fails to do.
