I wish they would release Song of the South. The PC police need to pick their battles. The one that I thought would be number one was only number 20. I remember when the actual number 1 was released. I remember being told in religion class to pray so that the movie would NOT arrive to the location where I lived. I remember telling my mother about it... I have come a long way since then. Honestly, if they took off their shirts, I would be wondering "who is this band, and what have they done with Rush?". Rush is just NOT that kind of band. And I like them that way. What if Rush launched their own brand of organic fruit juice?

Favorite old favorites- Freewill and Limelight Favorite new to me at the concert- Presto Favorite live version of a favorite- Closer to the Heart Favorite new to me way after- Time Stand Still and Subdivisions Least favorite- none were bad, just not memorable. Some I have not even bothered to listen to again since the concert, such as Vital Signs and The Camera Eye and Leave That Thing Alone.

I still want to go to Fort Lauderdale and see them again. Yes, in the middle of the week. Yes, even if I have to stay the night. Yes, even if I have to drive 3+ hours in each direction. But I probably will not

Game Zone went well. Very good attendance. Even though we had just one TV and thus just one game, the kids took turns very harmoniously.

I do not know if to call myself a Geddy Girl or Lerxst Lady. Back when they were young, definitely Lerxst because I like blond hair and blue eyes. Nowadays, more Geddy, because he is skinny and has long hair. Alex has gotten too sturdy and too masculine for my tastes.

Better than a dream- this happened to me today. I was teaching a computer class. They asked me to show them my Facebook profile- so I did. In my top 5 music, there is Rush. A lady asked me "You like Rush?". And I replied "Yes, I do". She said "you are too young to like Rush" (I am 33, but look MUCH younger). Then a gentleman said "Yes, Rush. 2112". And then I said "Well, I went to see them in concert last October when they came here". I am still a bit surprised that he mentioned 2112 rather than Tom Sawyer. Though my faves are Freewill and Limelight, I would expect most civilians to recognize Tom Sawyer first. And no, I did not tell them about my iPod named Geddy Lee and its charger named Superconductor. Nor about my antics on this forum.

Noooo! Don't replace Presto! There are a couple other songs I first heard in Time Machine that I like better now, such as Subdivisions and Time Stand Still. But for some bizarre reason, at the concert, Presto was the new one that stood out the most. Replace Stick it Out with The Pass. Replace Leave That Thing Alone with Hope. Replace Faithless with Earthshine. But leave Presto alone!

Last night I dreamt that I was at someone's house party. And that Geddy Lee was there. And that I was holding some bass guitar. And that he was not happy at me because one string in the bass guitar snapped. He fixed it, though. That was just one part of one huge long dream. Part of it I was the protagonist, such as when I went to this ballet school/gym and some boy who comes to the library was there (but not his siblings, who are always with him). And part of it I was the spectator- let's just say I was watching Voltron last night before going to bed.

I would have put Closer to the Heart in my Top 10. It is just so beautiful. And when played live, it goes to the next level.
