    just listening to the music
  1. After Working Man got them started on the road to big time. I think their last concert 60 years after their first. Should end with Workin Man.
  2. Any song on the bottom third of the songs that I like. I like hearing the top two thirds anytime.
  3. They did not swap Anthem for Bastille Day, that is correct.
  4. Sorry 6 songs I forgot the one from CA that was played on both tours
  5. This tour and the last tour for the most part are nothing alike. I can only think of 5 songs that were played on both tours. The lighting and video are all different and they now have a string section.
  6. I think we should keep Geddy as the lead singer, but that being said AC/DC did alright changing singers.
  7. They played Carnies, it was in Bankers Life Field House. My opinion around 10,000 or so. Lower bowl and floor pretty much full. Upper deck about half full.
  8. I have always been a big Working Man fan. I liked the new way on the Time Machine tour, but I and ready to go back to the old way this tour. Working Man got them started and its only one of many songs they play live and I think it like Tom Sawyer should be played every tour.
  9. I also thought it to be a very good show. I know the new songs are all linked together in meaning, but playing them all together for people who have never heard the album I am not sure is a good idea. Its not moving pictures. It slows the crowd response. Maybe they should play them at the end of the first set.
  10. They call me a Workin Man, Working Man on the radio 1974. I bought the album and still have it. I dont have a turntable to play it however.
  11. If you go back now and listen to COS after listening to all the songs they have written since then. I can see how you would think it sounds like Rush. When it came out the only 2 Rush albums were Rush and Fly by Night. COS was nothing like the first 2. I would say the first 2 were more radio friendly. Don't ever remember hearing any song from COS on the radio. Because of that I think that was the beginning of Down the Tubes. Why would you want to see them live if you didnt like the new songs. 2112 wasnt played on the radio because it was to long, but it had a sound that was amazing for the period. Progressive rock was getting radio play.
  12. Loved Rush the first album. Working Man was play on the radio all the time back then. I also bought Fly by Night thought it was a good album. Caress of Steel did nothing for me. I bought All the Worlds a Stage live album. Got 2112 live on that album. I still have it and the first album. I think Caress of Steel done me in. Never bought another Rush album, cd or dvd until I seen Beyond the Lighted Stage doc in 2010. I have now returned as a Big Rush fan. Went out and bought the doc, then 2112, then moving pictures, exit stage left came next, Time machine live in Cleveland also went to that concert and just bought Clockwork Angels. Going to see them in Indy Sept. 13. I plan on buying Hemishere and Permanent Waves soon. I still do not like any songs from COS.
  13. Working Man from Time Machine Live in Cleveland. When Alex and Geddy were only inches apart going insane.
