I have so many, but it would have to be on the Test For Echo tour. I saw them in Dayton, OH right at the beginning of the tour. I think it was the 2nd or 3rd show. May be wrong. It was when they played 2112 in its entirety. I was used to hearing Overture and Temples, but when they continued into Discovery, I couldn't believe that I was hearing 2112 in full! I also loved having them pull out Natural Sciences on that tour.
I couldn't agree with this topic more! Great song on my favorite album of theirs. It's so well recorded too. Very clean in my opinion. This album holds a special place for me since it was at such an important time and place in my life. I was a freshman at The University of Michigan that fall. This album got me through some tough adjustment periods. It also came out within a week or two of some other important albums in my musical landscape. These include Big Generator by Yes and A Momentary Lapse of Reason by Pink Floyd. All three albums still have significant meaning to me. Can't believe its been 28 years already! I wish I could make time stand still!
I was able to buy tickets for Hamilton too. I was targeting lower bowl seats, not floor, so I was putting that in. They didn't release bowl seats for about 15 minutes.
I missed out on purchasing the C.A. Fanpack. I was very bummed about not being able to get my hands on the magazine. I could live without the other stuff. The other day I was checking out the Classic Rock app for the magazine. After downloading the free app I found a store where you can order back issues. The magazine from the Rush Fanpack is available there for $5.99! It looks great on my iPad.
I think it would be considered the next "single," for what that's worth these days. It was the other song on the little sticker on the cd wrapper, in addition to Headlong Flight.
