  1. Damn fine place and it's the place I always come back to. I joined way back in 05 and I admit I have been very slack in recent times but I have met many fine people on this board and the admins are all top notch.
  2. Omg I only just now remembered it was my anniversary on TRF and thanks so much to everyone who posted. Thanks also to SullySue for starting the thread. Yes it is true I do not spend nearly as much time on here as I used to but I guess I had better get my arse back in here a little more before you guys forget me altogether. I am just as much into RUSH as ever and I love the new album Cheers to all
  3. Hi there ILUVGeddy05 and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I hope that you had a fantastic day and I will never forget my first RUSH show with you Front row back in July 08.xxxx. I don't get to TRF all that much often either of late but I should try to get off FB more.
  4. Hi Rick and congrats on 8 years here on good old TRF.
  5. Happy Birthday JB ol' boy. My we all are getting old aren't we? I hope that you are keeping well as it's been some time since I have heard from you. Drop me a line or two on FB if you wish. I have just come home in the last week from having a full hip replacement on the left side. It's been sore but I am walking quite well now.
  6. I hope that you had a super fun filled day on your birthday GODEATER and we must catch up again one day my friend.
  7. I'm so sorry that I am super late with your Happy Birthday wishes Amanda but I did wish you Happy Birthday on Facebook Hope things are going great with you.
  8. Thanks Erebus for thinking of us Aussie fans and as you know I have already applied for mine.
  9. What a beautiful post dtpoet and my heartfelt condolences for your brother. I know exactly what you mean when that piano part kicks in and geddy sings with such emotion. when I first heard this song and it came to the piano part I had just discovered my much loved 19 year old cat had passed earlier in the night and I had to wrap her in a blanket for my partner to take to the vet later that day. That piano part brought sobs as I said my goodbyes and went off to work. This will always now be her song.
  10. I went for THE WRECKERS but I really like WTW also.
  11. QUOTE (Tick @ Jun 30 2012, 06:07 AM) QUOTE (Todem @ Jun 29 2012, 10:46 AM) QUOTE (Tick @ Jun 29 2012, 08:11 AM) QUOTE (Todem @ Jun 29 2012, 07:50 AM) Caravan BU2B Clockwork Angels The Anarchist Carnies Seven Cities of Gold The Wreckers Headlong Flight These are all live monsters waiting to be unleashed. If they play The Garden...cool. An unexpected surprise IMO. The Garden is actually very expected considering the strings section. I'd be shocked if they didn't play it. and Caravan and BU2B have been unleashed for some time now. Just sayin... Its all good! Well they may utilize the strings on some classic songs like The Trees, and maybe Xanadu (which would be nice). And of course Manhatten Project would be a treat. I don't want them to go overboard with the strings on classic songs though. So with all that in mind....they may bypass The Garden. So I do feel it will be a nice surprise...and it may be setting up for some dissapointment to those that are fully expecting this song to be played live. Bet the ranch. The Garden WILL be played live. Yeah I'm with you on this one Tick.

Seeing that they are going to all the trouble of bringing a string section with them on tour I think it's a safe bet that they will indeed play THE GARDEN - maybe after Neil's solo.
  13. You guys are nuts but I suppose that everyone is different. The Wreckers is my favourite track besides HEADLONG FLIGHT and THE GARDEN. I love the catchy melodies and Geddy's vocals are great.
  14. I of course would love to see the boys come to our shores and this topic comes up on every tour but sadly they never come. At least it costs nothing to dream.
