Lost In Xanadu
This is one movie that we have to watch every year... can't believe it's 11 years old now. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BNjY1NjQ3NDY5MF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwODAyMTc3._V1_SX214_AL_.jpg This year, NBC made a musical... Elf, Buddy’s Musical Christmashttp://i.onionstatic.com/avclub/5295/54/16x9/960.jpg Anyone watch it? It may have played well if you didn't see the movie, but I didn't care much for it at all. WorkingAllTheTime
Oh my goodness, yes. My kids were younger when it first came out, so they liked it for all the kid reasons. As they got older, they learned to appreciate the other humor in it, so it is a tradition for us to watch it. The "beef and gin", "throne of lies" scene mentioned above is one of my favorites, but my absolute favorite is still when they announce Santa will be coming tomorrow and Ferrell goes from screaming "SANTA!" at the top of his lungs, to a very comical "I know him!". "I know him!". I once read Ferrell turned down a ridiculous sum of money (something like $20+M?) to do a sequel. I am happy he saw the wisdom in letting this movie stand on its own. My favorite line was simple... "Watch out, the yellow ones don't stop!"
