Moving Pictures, which I actually did not buy for myself. I bought it for a friend as a gift, as my dad owns all the Rush albums, so I just use his (I'm 14 and still live with my parents)

The first one I bought was on cassette. It was "A Show of Hands" and I bought it the day it was released, January of 1989 if I recall correctly. It was the first time I bought something on its release date and I was so excited. My dad drove me to the record store and we listened to it on the way home. I still love that opening trio of

Big Money > Subdivisions > Marathon

Up 'til then I borrowed friends' copies and had copies that people had "taped" for me....most notably "Exit...Stage Left." I think I played my Memorex copy of that tape until it just broke. laugh.gif

A Farewell to Kings. My older brother brought home ATWAS when it came out. I loved it but wasn't sure if they were trying to be UFO or Yes. Then they came out with A Farewell to Kings which I bought with some trepidation (a 6th grader has to spend his money wisely). Musically-speaking, that was life-changing. I listened to Xanadu two to three times a day with headphones every day for a year. Then Hemispheres came and was even better. Those were the days. Edited by Rutlefan
