Thunder Bay Rush
From what I've heard of the live recordings, the PW tour is when the band was at its peak playing live. And, GODDAM it, this is one of only a few tours that I missed since 1976!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tomhealey
If only I could find a Time Machine...If you find such a machine, my dear, I've got a few things in my history to address before I get around to attending Rush concerts, although they'd be pretty high on my list.
tomhealey
I was at the show Chemistry mentioned. In fact, I got to the first three shows of that four block set, denied by my mom from attending the April 6 show because it was Easter Sunday, as I've explained on this board in more detail elsewhere. The four shows were sponsored by local radio station WLUP, and Steve Dahl served as the MC. That was about a year after Disco Demolition, and Dahl was at the height of his Insane Coho Lips glory. Good times.

tomhealey
prime. Do you remember the intro being the theme from LEAVE IT TO Beaver. THEN THE START TO 2112?I don't. I will always remember, however, the thick white smoke that hung in the air like a covert invitation.
Jaminbenb
I'm still bummed that I didn't get to see them when they played Hershey in 1980 (parents weren't into me going with the people that had the tickets, so I had to pass) But a friend that got to see them on September 19, 1976 at a small venue called the Zembo Shrine Auditorium, in Harrisburg was the killer of the shows that I missed...although I didn't know about them at THAT point ...a slight while later when ATWAS came out...(like a week...) and the friend that saw that show said "you need to hear this guy"!!
