Well if your nickname is Tarzan and when you are trying to beat a world record from 1939. He's trying to break the world record of pedaling on a bicycle the most mileage in a year. The record is 75,000+ miles and he has to average around 225 miles a day, so he needs to eat and eat ALOT! His real name is Kirk says he lost 30lbs in the first 3 months of riding.

Kurt figures he’ll burn about 12,000 calories a day, which means he has to eat a lot to maintain his weight. His dinner of choice is an entire large pizza.

He’ll spend most of January in Florida, which is warmer and flatter than Arkansas, and then head to several ultracycling races around the country. He’ll ride his bike during the day, and his crew will drive him and his bike to race sites at night while Kurt sleeps in the back of the RV. He plans to ride Calvin’s Challenge in Springfield OH on May 2. It’s a 12-hour race.

If Kurt sticks to his plan, and spreadsheet, he’ll ride close to 80,000 miles and set a new record.

Good luck, the most I've ridden in one day was 117 miles in one of my AIDS Rides.

Peace
