SUBDIVISIONS Posted May 9, 2015 Share Posted May 9, 2015 I believe that beyond the "good 5 minutes" song, The quest for RUSH it has been to create a solid album.Everytime they hit the studio since 74 they were trying to bring That album , D Album to life. Here I dare to introduce my personal impression about itOpen to read your own Rush- solid, straight, guitar is free as a bird, a complete meal.FBN- solid but rather intelectualCOS- Not solid, mistic, dark and magic2112- Solid as it getsFTK- Not solid, breaking a different groundHMS- Master piece of craftsman but not a solid albumPW- Solid RecordMP- Solid as GoldSignals- its a serious effort to improve but the eclecticness and the previous record set a high bar to make it solidGUP- Through time this might be the MOST solid record, it has balls from A to Z.PW- Solid but lighterHYF- not solid as a whole conceptPresto- not solidRTB- Great effort almost a solid recordCP- not solid on the grunge B sideT4E- not solidVT- solid sound, too many unnecesary experiments, 8 songs would make itS&A- not solid- like butter in too much bread (by Bilbo)CA- solid album 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They aren't content to put a half-assed effort into anything, and their albums reflect that. Even Rush's "worst" or, as you have labelled them, "not solid," are far better in every respect than most bands' best. As for your specific ratings...I actually find they align pretty well with mine, although I would consider CoS, Hem, HYF and CP to be solidly solid. You dont have a solid album with 2 large concept songs and the the other two made by the same structure of middle growing brakes Roll the Bones - Almost Solid? Great rock spirit but sound recording didnt quite ignitePower Windows - Solid? Try to play any song on bass and then come back to the blog dude Lost credibility with those.
