Saw Travers in 79/80 'ish and he was tremendous. Tommy Aldridge on drums.

Bought the 'Power Trio' album in the noughties and although the cover is shite, the music ain't too shabby. Not a classic though.

P.T is GOD, met the man many times, seen him live at least a dozen times. Jut got my signed copy of Puttin it straight and Heat in the street. Gonna spin Crash and Burn right now.

OMG! I love "Crash N Burn!"

You are so funny my friend. I know the "Putting" and "Heat" cd you bought that is signed in black sharpie on a slipcover! You know I'm crazy!! I have four copies!! Three sealed and signed. One opened to play!!!

I love Pat so much!!! I don't go back and read my stuff from years ago but did I tell you I saw Pat Travers Band at Bourbon Street? Like 10 years ago. Right down the street from my house.

The opening band was good but the drummer was a total douche bag dunce.

He was going to let Pat's drummer play on his kit but he took his cymbals off the stands because he didn't want Pat's drummer to hit them!

There was a fuckking hour delay over this.

So, me having no problem being the extrovert that I am went over to this little door and knocked on it by the side of the stage. It was a shit broom closet of a dressing room.

Pat Travers opened up the door and looked up at me. He was so short but so cool. He said to me...... "Hello how may I help you?" I said.... "Pat! I totally love you man but the show must go on!! I live 4 miles from the venue. I know that the drummer in the first band is a dick. I will race home and grab my cymbal bag so you can play your set tonight!"

Pat looked up at me and smiled! He shook my hand and said... "Wow what is your name?" I said "it's Earl!" He's like, "Ok get those cymbals. After the show come see me. I will give you free cds, shirts and I will sign anything you want!!

He was so happy!

So I raced home.

Grabbed my cymbal bag.

When I got back to the fukking bar I could hear "Life In London" from the parking lot.

Yep! I got fuckked out of my favorite Travers song doing a good deed!

The drummer finally gave in.

But alas I was able to hang out with Pat after the gig for over an hour! He was so kind and sweet and was still blown away by my good deed.

Yep!

I am a good guy!

I apologize to anyone on here I have hurt over the years.

I will never change.

I'm just "Putting It Straight!"

PAT TRAVERS IS A MORTAL GOD!!!!!!!

Dying to see him again! Hoping for a USA "Swing" Tour!!!

My God, I need help!

"The Black Rose" is playing right now on my stereo.

Gets me every time. Phil and Gary.

Killing my soul.

I must get my ass to Ireland!!!!
