Lorraine
Not sure. I need to listen to them both again. Good luck!Definitely The Speed of Love. Oh dear.
savagegrace26
Neurotica is definitely a more playable and listenable song. Good guitar solo too. Despite it's flaws it seems like a very earnest effort by the band. Speed of Love seems like it was deliberatly written and composed to be a horrible joke. A nerds love letter to a chick who won't talk to him (for good reason). Edited September 10, 2014 by savagegrace26

bluefox4000
The 90's it gets less and less. RTB- I quite like despite awful production and silly lyrics. CP- 4 songs T4E- 1 song. Mick
fraroc
I loved Neurotica.... However, Dog Days and The Speed Of Love should be a better comparison.

I would need to re-listen to RTB, CP and T4E and I am not in the mood right now. I will need a couple Ativan's before I attempt such a feat in one sitting.... :)

Segue Myles
The Speed Of Love is one of my favourite Rush songs. I hate Neurotica. I knew I could count on you! TSOL has some beautiful lyrics, and where some people say the band sound bored, I think they sound smooth. And Geddy's vocals are really soulful. I love everything about this song (Counterparts is overall a really enjoyable album in my opinion).
bluefox4000
I listened to Speed of love again. Awful song but......main problem is there's no conviction behind the singing. it's not selling me on the song. I Neuroctica knows it's silly and sells it. I don't know if that makes sense but......that's how i see it. Mick Mick

At the gym this morning I was listening to my Rush channel on Pandora and TSOR came on from Rush In Rio Yowza did that sound awful....
Lorraine
I don't particularly care for TSOL lyrics either, but they are better than the lyrics to Neurotica. I don't know how Geddy sang Neurotica with a straight face.

And a killer nothing else at all, but at least there's that.
