Kevin Spacey Unmasked documentary on Max

That Saving Private Ryan theater viewing story is a whole lot of discomfort in so many ways and during the opening battle at Normandy.  Sick puppy.:puke:

Rewatching Queens Gambit

4th viewing and it's still brilliant

My wife was raving to me about this. I love to play chess, but somehow never got to watch it.

It's very chess-heavy, which makes it fun.  Side note, my uncle was a grand master and was at one point good friends with Bobby Fischer

That's cool. So sad Bobby finished up the way he did.

I was at a period when I played chess a lot and it was hard for me to get to sleep, seeing chess pieces in my head. I can understand Fischer.

That state of mind, obsessively visualuzing chess, is touched on in Queen's Gambit.

Here's an old Sports Illustrated issue on Fischer.  Ron Gross is the uncle I referred to.

Oh yeah, I saw you post this before. Perhaps it was when I started a thread about chess.

The official trailer for Alien: Romulus.

My gawd....I lost count of all the redundant images and sounds taken from the first two films.  Yet another redundant episode, with the same story, the same creature.....oh, but the cast is full of attractive young people, so they have that going for them, which is nice.

Between this and Terminator, Hollywood has learned NOTHING from doing sequels to Cameron helmed part 2 installments.
