Just an unrelated question about the original lineup - are most of the musicians deceased?

No, most of them are still alive. A few of them are no longer in the music business. Plus, Ian's had a way of getting rid of musicians over the years...most recently Martin Barre, it seems.

Actually, all of them are still alive...one of them is now a different gender though :notthatthere'sanythingwrongwiththat:

One's changed gender? Crikey! ohmy.gif

Also :nothingwrongwithchanginggendertoo: No worries.

Why did Martin Barre leave?

That's a really bad idea of Ian's, as bad as getting rid of Barrimore Barlow...

All speculation but I think he didn't like the idea of TAAB2. However, no one has said for certain. It seems they are both touring separately, playing Tull.

Yeah, Barrie remains my favorite Tull drummer!

I think his voice is shot, it's certainly lost a lot of top end.

There hasn't been an all-new Tull album for about 15 years, sounds like a last ditch cash grab to me...

Read the article above. Ian, himself, acknowledges that even those who do purchase this won't put sales into the black. He'll very likely lose money on it.

Whatever you might think of it...and I have my opinions as well...it's not an effort to make money. I truly believe Ian thought it would be a fun thing to do, although I have my doubts about how wise it is.

Are you getting a cut for TRF publicity?

" cool10.gif " Is it that time already? trink39.gif

Of course, I have no ability to be objective about Tull or Ian, being the old Tull-head that I am.

Aye...

Promo video is up! There's some new music clips and its actually pretty good!

It does sound good! I'll pick this up for sure.

wow i ready to call this an abomination. this sounds good. hopefully it will be mostly instrumental.

Mostly instrumental would be great. Ian's never been a great storyteller...a good one, not a great one. Musical genius, though.
