hulkhogan
I am trying to count the beginning of Driven, and I am unsure as to exactly how to do so. I am not much of a musical wizkid, so it's giving me some trouble. Is it a measure of 8, and then 7, or what? I am pretty bad at this, so forgive my ignorance, please. Steel Rat
Intro = 8/8 + 7/8 8/8 + 7/8 "Driven up and down in circles" = 8/8 + 6/8 "Skidding down a road of black ice" = 8/8 + 7/8 That's how I hear it. It's hard to discern whether this song has a triplet feel or straight feel, because it goes back and forth between measures. HowItIs
Looking at the tabs: the first 12 measures (first verse) alternate between 4/4 and 7/8. Goes to 6/8 at "it's my turn to drive". Repeat
Show Don't Tell
I've always counted that main phrase as: 4/4 4/4 6/4 4/4 4/4 7/
