Bats. Not baseball bats either. Those things that fly at night. Even if I see one sleeping on a wall during the day, I just about have a heart attack and have to walk the other way.

Do you live in a haunted house?

Specially cuz of the old Twilight Zone episode.

I think it has something to do with not looking at you when they talk.

I guess the fear of not living up to my potential weighs on me now and then.

Wish I wouldda started fearing this earlier in life.

I haven't wasted my life, but I have wasted some of it. Precious time.

Wished I'd realized sooner life's more than fun and more about others than about myself.

But better late than never; things that matter take time and hopefully I've got enough left to make the difference I was suppose to make or atleast from that point on.

So I guess it's not doing my best. I try to be mindful.

See, I wish I'd had more fun early in life...now I have a hard time with money, health, lack of time & vacation etc. woes. Just cherish the fun you had and make time for other things now...

This past weekend, on our way home from The Dalles, Oregon, Hubby and I took a side route. The 8 mile section of the Old Highway 30 along the Columbia River was, we thought, the one to take so as to see all the waterfalls. Wrong. This was the section that goes up and around the high hills:

We'd gone about 2 miles (and up about 100 feet) when my phobia struck and I had a full-on panic attack. Thankfully, Hubby was driving and backed us down until he could turn around. This is what I mean by winding, narrow mountain roads. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd103/laserspray/internet%20stuff/smilies/smilie_schreck.gif
