Ozzie Guillen will no longer be around the South Side of Chicago to make things interesting. He's resigning and will end up with the Marlins just in time for their new stadium.

I hope the Sox promote Joey Cora. I think he would make a fine manager.

Ozzie's time has come and gone. It was time to move on.

Why would the Marlins trade for a manager who was going to be fired in a few days anyway? confused13.gif

Oh well, at least it works out better for the ChiSox that way. I guess Guillen really was their guy!

Cora, not so much: http://eye-on-baseball.blogs.cbssports.com...297882/32312942

Is Kenny Williams on the way out? He thinks he should be, Reinsdorf thinks otherwise.

And now for the Tigers, who trail for the #2 seed by 1 game to Texas. We need Texas to lose, but sadly the Angels did us no favors by refusing to start their 18-8 pitcher today. Detroit should win, but what I want to do is to catch a limping Red Sox/Rays team coming into the playoffs. More than that, I don't really want to see the Yankees in the first round, but rather in the ALCS. But since we're going to have to beat them anyway, I guess now is the time.

If the Tigers win and the Rangers lose, Detroit is the #2 seed.

I see St. Louis wrapping up the Wildcard in the NL. I think the Red Sox hold on and get the AL wildcard.

Adam Dunn's 2011 final stats:

66 hits in 415 ABs, for a .159 avg. 177Ks

11 HRs 42 RBIs

slugging percentage .277

OBP .292 (he had 75 walks to go with his 66 hits)

He STILL had a better OBP than Soriano... ohmy.gif

This is why Kenny Williams is trying to get Reinsdorf to fire him, right here.

Talk about a move that just went horribly wrong.

Shame that the guy is remembered for this rather than his two all star appearances and his six gold gloves. eh.gif

He did get his ass kicked though. laugh.gif
