Gilby
LyndseyG shed tears when they came on stage. She's been waiting a while to see them. Blown away, absolutely superb and to top it off Alex played a telecaster on vital signs.( I love telecasters. Don't ask me why, I just do. )

LyndseyG
QUOTE (Gilby @ May 22 2011, 05:27 PM) LyndseyG shed tears when they came on stage. She's been waiting a while to see them. In today's Sun newspaper there is a review on them playing at the O2. "The spirit of radio is in full cry and a woman near me is in tears of joy. How many bands induce such emotion in the first 5 seconds of a gig?" See!! I'm not the only one!!!!! It was a very positive review, with no mention of bad sound quality (John Perry obviously had good tickets near the front!) Gilby particularly like this bit: "it's cool to hate them, to refuse to see beyond their 3 dope fuelled years of proggy hobbit-bothering 35 years ago. But drummer Neil Peart has since penned skilful and profound explorations of love, loss, prejudice and alienation." "fabulous songs like working them angels and farcry remind us that some of their best work has come in the last four years, that they still create tremendous material."
