^ it's hard to tell definitively, but it looks like every time there's a post, when the page 'refreshes' it generates a view

so -theoretically

if no one else were on the site but me, and I posted four fast replies in this thread, BOTH counts would advance, i.e.:

75/113

76/114

77/115

78/116

- and so on

and if I view then post is it 2 counts? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/confused13.gif

if you view, then post, it affects the totals this way:

Replies (adds 1)

Views (adds 2)

When you post repeatedly without leaving the thread, it's 1v for 1r

Otherwise, it's 2v for 1r.

If you view without posting, it's 1v for 0r. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/sad.gif

Given this information, it should always be better than 1/2, assuming everyone who views the thread posts in it.

Wouldn't it be creepy if the ratio was consistently equal to Phi? http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif
