Gilbertk
A guy knew I played bass, and he never played his, so he was nice enough to give it to me! I've never been a fan of Squier basses or P-Basses, but I must say, this thing is surprisingly good! It has a great punch to it and really suits my style. I think I'm going to replace the pups (haven't decided what to get , suggestions welcome), add a matching Hipshot extender key, and get the vintage pup and bridge covers. CygnusX-1Bk2
Free is always good! If it has punch already you may be happy with the stock pickup. Otherwise you can replace it with a '62 replica: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Origina...462-i1127512.gc Also a BaddAss bridge will work nicely which might give it a bit more bite. thebigguyconnor
Wow, free is awesome. I've been thinking of getting a bass for ages. CONGRATS!
Xanadu93
Same thing happened to me when I was like eight (Squier p-bass, for free). I haven't done any work on it at all; it still has the stock pups and bridge, and neither are in great condition. At a later time, when I have the money, I'm gonna get new pups and a Badass bridge put on it. Can't wait to hear it after that.
GeddyRulz
The Squier line is surprisingly well-made. Okay, so it's not like a full-fledged Fender, but it's still pretty darn good, and a great value. (Particularly for you two "free" people!) Tarkus406
Getting musical instruments for free is the best. No deal like a free deal, dude!
ColdFireYYZ
Nice! I'd love to get a free bass.
