marlinsfan
Can I bring in my SLR digital camera to the Allentown PA show tonight? Or have people been sneaking in small cameras/phones? What is allowed?
Khan
People had cameras all over the place in Columbus.
marlinsfan
Cameras with big lenses? Or small autofocus ones? I've got one of each and the big one takes way better pictures!
rushfan676
Called the fair box office, sounds like the only cameras allowed are point and shoots. "Nothing with a large lense will be permitted" is what the recording says.
marlinsfan
-I posted here because I keep getting a busy signal on the phone. I guess I'm taking the little camera!
rushfan676
Call 610-435-7469 That number won't be busy.
marlinsfan
Thanks! No professional cameras or cameras with large lenses. The lady said "if security thinks it's a large lens, it's a large lens" when I asked 'how large a lens is a large lens??' That settles it! Leaving in 1 hour and 22 minutes!!! rushfan676
No problem. I know of that number since I have attended numerous concerts at the fair grounds before.

I don't know how you didn't get your camera through. I had no problem taking mine in... Probably depended on what entrance you used. the entrance I went in they didnt check anything. Could have brought a big slr and no one would have noticed.
marlinsfan
Yes, we didn't get checked either. My point and shoot took crappy pics....
The_Enemy_Within
don't know how 'great' of a lens this is, but I had this right up at the barricade and no one said a thing. http://www.digital-camera.com/wp-content/u...front-angle.jpg guess it depends on the venue / security... 32Ford
There was only one way in (I think) in Allentown. You could have brought anything in at all. No one checked anything. Took a few decent pics and video.
