Snowdog
Just finished a bottle of the 30th Anniversary Stout, Fritz & Ken's Ale. It was great! The most amazing head retention of any beer I've ever had, and the mouthfeel was incredible-extremely silky, creamy & luxurious. Tasted great, with all the usual stout offerings, coffee, chocolate, loads of roasted malt, but this one had a distinct hop kick to it as well (as you'd expect from SN). Overall, an exceptional job which is not surprising given who is behind it.
Midway Hawker
Hey looky me, first login in 7 months.. And where do you find me? A Sierra Nevada thread.. I visited the Brewery a few weeks ago and was able to sample the new 30th Anniversary Stout on Tap! Also bought a bottle but have not opened it yet. Snow is right, it's a beautiful bottle. I might never open it. I also tried a 10oz glass of their "Hoptimum" (10% Double IPA) and that might be the best ale I've ever had.
