Ancient Ways
QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jan 17 2010, 06:40 PM) QUOTE (Rush Cocky @ Jan 17 2010, 05:14 PM) I didn't think Warner's defense, running game and pass protection were being argued for Hall Of Fame candidacy in this thread. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/confused13.gif If you dont understand how those things feed into a QBs production and induction into the HOF then... the debate has to more or less end there. Lets talk turkey, heres the list: George Blanda (Also PK) 1949-1958, 1960-1975 Terry Bradshaw 1970-1983 Len Dawson 1957-1975 John Elway 1983-1998 Dan Fouts 1973-1987 Otto Graham 1946-1955 Bob Griese 1967-1980 Bobby Layne 1948-1962 Johnny Unitas 1956-1973 Steve Young 1985-1999 Joe Montana 1979-1994 Joe Namath 1965-1977 Roger Staubach 1969-1979 Warren Moon 1984-2000 Bart Starr 1956-1971 Fran Tarkenton 1961-1978 Y.A. Tittle 1948-1964 Norm Van Brocklin 1949-1960 Bob Waterfield 1945-1952 Troy Aikman 1989-2000 Dan Marino 1983-1999 Jim Kelly 1986-1996 Sonny Jurgensen 1957-1974 Does Warner belong in this group or not. I think he does. good post. I would put him above Warren moon and Steve Young. I think it's questionable that they are in more than Warner. Inthend
Warner could defenitely have some off days. But when he was on, which he often was, he could 'hit a bird in the eye flyin'. A crack shot at hitting the crossing routes Warner was defenitely one of the most accurate passers to play the game. I think the tough years add to his legend. I think he more than made up for them in the fruitful years. Kurt Warner is a Hall of Famer.
raptorcox
First NFL game I saw had Kurt starring for the Rams on his way to (his first) the Super Bowl, seeing the game from high in the end zone nosebleeds, it was cool seeing the routes and Kurt picking apart the Panther defense. Thanks Kurt! Yes, Hall of Famer
