Prog Rock Reccomendation Thread

Tiles is a pretty good band that really emulates Rush. In fact, their last album, Fly Paper, was produced by Terry Brown and has an Alex Lifeson guitar solo.

Anything by Detroit's "Tiles". I forgot they played a show last night here! Damn. Well, if they woulda put me on the guest list I woulda remembered.

2nd recommendation: "Mindrought" (also from Detroit) for those who like hard rock and metal that's slightly progressive but not overdone. We utilize a "lead bassist" which gives us a sound all our own. Mindrought

these guys are actually a bit like DT too, but much more raw

I second Utopia, though after their first 3 or 4 albums they became more pop-ish. still good though.

 

also, RENAISSANCE! they are amazing, symphonic progressive rock, their 70s material in particular is classic. Annie Haslam has a beautiful voice.

Inside OUt is a record lable that specilzes in prog, and actually care for the artists they represent..

 

If you've ever bought an album from the artists that are under the lable you have probably noticed a card from inside out that reccomends other bands...

 

Pay attention to that card....so many great bands.
