1-0-0-1-0-0-1
For some reason, the ad banners between the second and third posts in a thread do not work on my PC. They work on other people's computers, but not mine. NONE of the banners work. From what I understand (RR can clarify this if necessary), when you click the link, it gets redirected to the site through another site so that TRF can receive a commission from the sale. The problem I seem to be having is I'm getting stuck in the redirect stage -- I'm not getting redirected to the site I'd like to shop at. I'm getting a Failed To Connect error message. I have the same problem with IE. I get the Page cannot be displayed error message. The security settings on both browsers are not set in an out of the ordinary way. The fact that both browsers can't connect makes me think it isn't a browser problem. I tried disabling my Zone Alarm firewall and that had no effect. I can go to all the sites directly, but in order for TRF to get the commission, the sites have to to be reached through those banners. rushringleader
Maybe you should install Safari or Opera too and see if those work. If they don't, then you have a bigger problem on your hands then just software. Maybe its something in your router? This is so strange.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1
QUOTE (rushringleader @ Aug 21 2008, 10:27 PM) Maybe you should install Safari or Opera too and see if those work. If they don't, then you have a bigger problem on your hands then just software. Maybe its something in your router? This is so strange. Don't have a router, just a modem. And if both IE and FF don't work -- the two most reliable browsers -- then other browsers have no chance of working either. Also, I plugged another computer into the same modem and I was able to connect with the banners. So it's definitely something with this particular PC.
